Nascar Canadian Tire Series stars DJ Kennington and Jason Hathaway will both be wheeling JCAR Mini Trucks this weekend at Grand Bend Speedway in a 75 lapper.
This is going to be really exciting to see how these guys can adapt to this completely different type of racing.
If you haven't had a chance to check out the new track in Grand Bend, this could be your perfect opportunity.
Also scheduled to race that day are the 6.5hp Micro Sprints, 9hp Modified Sprints, Junior Late Models, 440cc Sprints, and 4-Cylinders.
Racing is set to begin at 4pm. Pit gates will open at 1pm.

I imagine DJ will be in the 5, what is Jason wheeling?

DJ will be driving a Gemmell prepared truck, and Jason will be driving the GBS house truck, which will now sport his #3.

The body of the truck I will be driving was painted this morning, and the vinyl wrap will be pasted tonight. And ya, it'll be #39 like old times.

Also a mini stock invitational for those not interested in Octoberfest at Flamboro. Usually only get around 7 cars or less i'm told.

There was a ton of interest from many of the Nascar Canada drivers that we approached for this, but the idea just came up a couple of weeks ago, and it was just too short of notice for most of them.
These guys just love to race, and I think they can tell that mini truck racing would be a blast.
