im from saskatchewan and got to meet with him in 07 when his was doing a western swing and was going to rsce an event in saskatoon. his quote was "dont you know who i am, im steve arpin and i responded "whats an arpin". yeah he can flatout drive just a little too much rock star attitude, more than most drivers have.
I think that the attitude might be the kind of thing a young Canadian driver needs to get noticed down south.
Rookie of the year in the 2008 Silver Crown Series for Carl Edwards in a transition to pavement from a stellar dirt career to date. Only 6 feature wins on the year (there was an injury and I expect a lot fewer modified starts with the Silver Crown program) after 2007 with 18 Feature Wins & 42 top 5 finishes in an open wheel modified throughout the United States and 2006 17 Feature Wins in the dirt mods. Before heading south he won every feature at Emo Speedway in Northern Ontario three years running from 2001-2003. I don't know what the competition was like but it still is pretty impressive sounding. I hadn't really heard much about him until last year when he was on the ballot for the Inside Track awards but did a little digging into his accomplishments. You can find out a lot more on his website,

He is definitely one of the top Canadian oval track driving prospects and I wish him all the best in ARCA.
