A Fourth Place Run at Can Am and a Rainout at Cornwall For Whitteker

With Edelweiss Speedway having the weekend off, the Whitteker Motorsports team of Iroquois, Ontario made a rare appearance to Chapman's Can Am Motorsports Park in Lafargeville New York. Whitteker started night with a fifth place finish in his qualifying heat. In the 30-lap feature, Whitteker started from 15th place and just five laps in Whitteker’s car did a complete 360-degree spin as a result of contact from another driver. Restarting from the rear of the field, Whitteker began to mount a charge to the front. At the checkered flag, Whitteker climbed back to 11th overall and fourth amongst the Small Block competitors.
The next race on the Whitteker Motorsports schedule was at the Cornwall Motor Speedway on Sunday night. Whitteker was set for “Roofless” night at the track, as all Modified competitors were going to run the race without the roof on their car. For the second week in a row, Cornwall was forced to cancel their show due after rain began to fall at the track shortly after noon.
This coming weekend, Whitteker will be back at Edelweiss on Friday night, and then off to Cornwall on Sunday looking for another win in his Rust Check, Coldwell Banker, Steve Summers Coburn Realty, Jim’s Performance Plus, Parcoll Products/Napa Auto Parts, Quaker State, Riverside Pontiac, Toy Storage, Wells and Son Construction, ERD Engine Research and Development, and Finish Line Web Design sponsored Bicknell car.
