Part Number
« on: January 31, 2008, 09:35:14 PM »
I was talking to Brian Thomas from Barrie the other night as I wanted to get a part number for the crate motor that the thunders use. If you go to the gmpreformaceparts.com site and type in 12499529 in the part number search at the top of the page you will see what the motor is. It give some basic info about the cam,  what size valves are in it things like that. Just thought I would share this with all in race land, that way everyone knows.

Does it show the specs for the one speciffic motor? So if I have A 602 crate and A 604 it will give me the specs based on the serial number I punch in?

Axle you need to keep that imagination of yours in check as I don't see it posted anywhere here that Mike's dad was looking for a 604 crate. Actually if your inquiring mind must know, Mike is looking to put a used one into a Chevy S-10. I wonder if you could imagine where he could find one ?

Power to wieght ratio.. And plus A 350 is alot easier to find parts for. A built motor is just too much hastle and money...
