I can't see them doing that especially after this past season.... unless of course the teams have been given the choice of a banquet or a new racing surface for next year???

More reality then you think. Not the surface we are talking about either.

To anybody on this subject I would be surprised if there was not a banquet because
 1) This year this track I would think they had a good year with very few rainouts this is one reason why I would be surprised with no banquet
Plus as I said before on an eariler posting reguarding this subject  if this track does not have a banquet for its employees and its drivers who make this track work I feel it would be a slap in the face to the above  involved. This is just my opinion and I hope I am right that there is a banquet.

If there's no banquet, which I'd be very surprised if there was not. Maybe Jesse will have a big bash at the shop. I think he came into some money recently.

Cmon John put an end to this rumour.

I think you'll find John is back at University.

It will be sad if there isn't a banquet. We've always though of the banquet as more of a spouse thing. I know it is minor in relation to putting up with the amount of work throughout the season but Dinner and a Dance goes a long way in the cause of domestic maintenance.

Setting up the banquet is a lot of work and organization, any idea who might do it??? ;D

Me and FromtheStands could do it....but I don't think there's a Taco Bell big enough.

We'll call Raymond Bro. and tent the whole damn store and parking lot. We'll get Restoration Master to build a dance floor that will carry all that wild man Jamie Ramsey can throw at it. Then all will be good.

Only problem, can we agree on the location??

Funny you should mention my name...Jamie Ramsay here... I was having a few beers with Amy Dugas on the weeknd, watchin the Richmond race and we were talkin about this exact same thing... We had heard this rumour (and I still dont know for sure if it is still just that or what so)...We thought, that if the track doesnt have something, that we would...Amy is willing to do the planning of it all, I think she may know a thing or two about it...We wouldnt be able to give free tickets to drivers and things like that, but could definatly get everyone together... And to do it and charge just enough to cover the expenses I am sure it could be done for a reasonable amount...anyways...just throin that out there if it comes to this...as i said I dont know what the tracks plans are...

Cmon John put an end to this rumour.

Hello everyone,

Yes, Delaware Speedway intends to hold a banquet.  It will take place at the same time it did last year.  Will it be the same as last year, no.  It can't be.  The banquet as it existed in 2006 is finished.  For a number of reasons the format of previous banquets at the greek centre did not work, so it will not be held at that location in 2007.  A change of venue is in order, as such the speedway is currently investigating a number of different options for halls suitable for the size of our competitor base.

Information regarding the banquet will be posted to delawarespeedway.com when it becomes available.
