As much as I'd like to say that Rouch made a classy mood and applaud him, longstreet is right about it being the ABT theory as we've seen examples of that all year long.

Yes it was , and as other have posted I also feel sorry for JR not getting a chance to show his stuff .

If Ron is such an OLD ( 100 years  ::) )  LOSER  that everyone hates  funny how he is 3 Time champion ( as mentioned above ), 2 time most popular driver and has the most wins in the truck series.

I think someone missed more than just the last race as far as knowing anything about the truck series.

Must be the reason the 6 other TRUCK TEAMS  headed over to help get the #33 back into the race as soon as it pulled behind the wall, including Jack Roush telling his crews to help out.

Here my opinion without having watched the race (was busy). Hornaday is one of those losers that tears up so much equipment no one wants to give him a ride. Remeber his cup days anyone? So Harvick feels bad for the guy, because he let him sleep on his couch years back and gives him a ride. Yeah he wins a few races, but what do you expect from a guy that has been running for 100 years, against even skilled drivers like JR without the track experince?
Right - Hornaday can only win a couple races and has a thing of tearing up equipment. Then how is he a 3-time truck series champion, including last year's champ? How is it that he's only 3 points behind Benson in the point standings? Yes, Ron made a mistake but we've seen other drivers make mistakes too. It sucks that  J.R got caught up in it and hopefully his next ride works out good for him :)

On a side note, I was going through some old and odd racing stuff the other day and found some CASCAR hero cards with JR and his dad in the purple Chips Ahoy cars. If JR makes it big in NASCAR, maybe I can get rich off these cards .lol

Hey Racenut, I've got that hero card as well, lol.  ;)

JR still has his 1'st CASCAR Jr body up in their barn I believe, along with some other cars. They have the Florida SLM that they ran 2'nd to Kittleson with at New Smyrna as well. Perhaps the Fitzpatricks will have to set up a museum on their premises one day? :)

Well I'm not sure what happened since I watched the race and saw the incident in question.  And at the beginning of the discussion of the race they said Hornaday admitted to messing up, then at the end in his interview he attempted to blame Kyle for it then he back tracked and said it was his own fault.  Either way Ron messed up as they said on Sirius today they hadn't even made it a mile in a 150 mile race.  So yes he could have pushed to lead the first lap but then again that didn't work out for him very well.  Instead he could have let Kyle lead that first lap and then make his move once he got a good feel for the truck.  He has been running the trucks for a number of years so he should know when he will be good to go.

I truly hope that JR continues to make a good showing in the states and hopefully back in Canada next year when he can.  But I think we already have 1 Canadian making a great showing for all of Canada and that's DJ, who once again had a solid run in the Nationwide race tonight.  JR is the future for Canadian drivers in the US but DJ helped make the big break through.  Just my opinion of course.  ;)

No problem I really wanted him to do good and he had a great starting position and he really deserves a chance and that is why I was upset about what happened. I usually don't watch the truck races but I want to see him maybe lead a lap and have a good finish. He will get another chance and yes I'm proud of him. Way to go J.R.

i apoligize evan bad mood this morning ............i agree jr could of had a great night

Well if that is the case, how come you are entitled to share with us your little nuggets of wisdom. Last time I checked, this was a forum, and if I want to say someone stinks, I will Thankyou. I guess us low lives are not qualified to congratulate anyone on a good job either.

FIRST OF ALL....TO GO FROM PRACTICE TIMES OF 25TH TO A QUALIFYING TIME TO EARN 6TH SPOT IS NO SMALL TASK...AT BEST...JR HAD HIS PANTS FULL ON THOSE LAPS !!

SECOND POINT... I AGREE WITH JOHN #61 ON THIS ONE...
TOO MANY GUYS ON HERE- EVEN OTHER DRIVERS-ALWAYS SEEM TO THINK THEY COULD DO BETTER...OR KNOW MORE...OR CAN CALL A CUP DRIVER A WASTE OR NO GOOD...
TRUTH IS, THOSE THAT MAKE COMMENTS LIKE THAT ARE 100% WORTHY OF THE BIGGEST AWARD IN CANADIAN RACING..THE  " P.D.U.S.A.A.F.A.S.U.A."    BETTER KNOWN AS....
THE,  PLEASE DO US ALL A FAVOR AND SHUT UP AWARD !!

FOR THOSE THAT FEEL THEY QUALIFY FOR THIS AWARD ALL OF US ON THIS SITE AGREE AS WELL.  LETS FACE IT...YOU WOULD B E DOWN SOUTH RACING TO AND SHOWING EVERYONE UP DOWN THERE BUT YOUR TO BUSY RUNNING YOUR MINI STOCK OR ENDORO CAR, AND WE ALL BELIEVE YOU WHEN YOU TELL US, ROUSH CALLED LAST WEEK AND WANTED YOU TO FILL IN FOR EDWARDS...HE NEEDED A PROFESSIONAL DRIVER TO SECURE THE CHAMPIONSHIP.
B I T E    M E.....

CONGRATS JR AND THE FASTER YOU CAN GET BACK IN A TRUCK RIDE THE BETTER...
WE NEED A TRUE CANADIAN PROFESSIONAL DOWN SOUTH TO GETERDONE !!!!

I'm sure Bush put more pressure on him than he could handle. But any pressure is more than Hornaday can handle.

The whole system is kinda funny if you think about it. In professional sports, when you move up a level and don't make it you are done. It like if you don't make it in the NFL, you don't move back down to high school ball. What we have here, is a 50 year old fool, with 30 years of experince, out on the highschool ball field...
honestly you are kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!

Talk about not knowing a driver , I have met Ron Hornaday on 5 different occasions , could not ask for a nicer guy and if you knew the TRUE history on him you would know theres more good than bad in it.

His CUP days were with AJ FOYT ( after getting shoved aside in favor of Mikey Waltrip for the #15 NAPA CHEVY at DEI ) and was not a top calibre team to start with. as for tearing up equipment , he has been the recipient more than the cause over the years.
