Coming up:  Double Features, Open Wheel Wednesday and Fireworks

By: Anita Soltis

(Plymouth, IN)  The crew at the Playground of Power is about to embark on a busy Saturday with double features and even more coming up in the next week.

Due to rainy conditions last week, several features will be made up for double the fun.  Your favorite drivers in the Dickies Restaurant 600 Non-Wing Sprints, WTCA Super Streets, Walmart Thunder Stocks, and Bane-Welker Cyber Stocks will be competing for a larger purse in make-up features on Saturday, June 20.  They will also participate in a regular night of racing along with the Swan Lake Resort UMP Modifieds.

Kids will also be winners this Saturday with a bicycle giveaway.

That is just the beginning.

Open Wheel Wednesday is set for June 24 with the Team VW Audi 410 Non-Wing Sprints and Dickies Restaurant 600 Open Non-Wing Sprints.  The People’s Champion Dave Darland returns along with Shane Cottle and many others to wheel the 410 Non-Wing Sprints on the clay oval.  The winner will walk away with $2,000 and a $700 Athens Archery bow, while $600 will go to the 600 Non-Wing Sprint winner.

To round out the month of June, Plymouth Speedway will have fireworks presented by R&B Company, and a bounce house sponsored by Swan Lake Resort and Matt and Kristen Hovermale.  All of that, along with regular features, will be on Saturday, June 27.

Gates will open each day at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. ET.  For ticket and pit pass prices, visit our website at www.plymouthspeedway.net
