Barrie June 21 Results... The Night of the Perfect 10
« on: June 22, 2014, 03:24:06 AM »
Howdy folks!!! Just a brief synopsis on what was one good night of tough yet clean short racing at Barrie Speedway.. In an ironic twist all four features on the night were won by a car # 10, as current point leader and defending track champ Gord Shepherd took both ends of the twin 30 lap Late Model features. In somewhat of a surprise both features would also go caution free, which usually doesnt happen on a hot night with the drivers having the previous week off.. ;).. In Thunders, division rookie Jordan Latimer would turn a front row starting spot into his first career feature win when all was said and done.. For those of you who don't know, Latimer is the grandson of Barrie's all time feature win leader none other than the legendary Garry "The Gambler" Reynolds, who was no doubt watching on and smiling from up above.. While in Pure Stocks, point leader Doug Butler would record his 3rd feature win of the season in just six attempts... Both the Thunders and 4's would have only a single caution in what was easily the most entertaining night of racing thus far in 2014 (with honorable mention to the season's first night of racing).. Onto the results...

Heat wins went to Butler, Holmes, Curry, Cairns, Dave Crumbie, and Gettliffe.. Special props to both the 63 of Cairns and 06 of Hardy... Carins would record his first career win of any sort in notching a heat race win, while Hardy would record a career best and first ever podium with his 2nd place feature result..

That's all I got for now folks, hope you all have a great remainder of the weekend and enjoy the Sonoma race if that's on your docket as it will be mine... Signing out...... FROM THE GONDOLA!!!! ;) ;)
