NEW LOOK TOYO TIRES F1600 LAUNCHED TODAY
TORONTO, ON (April 19, 2013) - Toyo Tires F1600 Championship Series Officials are pleased to announce a new website and social media platform for the popular championship as a reflection of an increased focus on marketing and promotion.
"This style of racing has been around for a very long time and has been the stepping stone for some of the most decorated drivers Canada has ever produced," said Diane Dale, President of Move Motorsports. " The Series Steering Committee entrusted us with the goal of bringing this Championship into the limelight and supporting it with a fresh new look, increased communication with both media and fans and the creation of tools to help competitors build their brands in the marketplace," she added.
The site will become a portal for all things F1600 in Ontario and has many interesting features. It will focus heavily on the drivers and competition with regular features, interviews and video content, giving them easily accessible tools they can take advantage of. Live timing and scoring will be available for all races to help fans follow the series more closely and video updates on the race results will bring it all to life. The news section will also be updated regularly with timely, relevant information and photos.
Another interesting feature will be regular vignettes on F1600 Alumni who have passed through and made professional careers in the sport - the first of which launches today. Andrew Bordin, former F1600 Champion and co-owner of AIM Autosport racing with Ferrari, the 2012 Grand Am Rolex Series GT Champions talks about what F1600 meant to his career and what can be learned from competing in the Series.
In the days leading up to the first event the driver bios will be also populated as competitors make announcements about the upcoming season.

The Toyo Tires F1600 Series is sanctioned by the CASC - Ontario region and competes at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Shannonville and Calabogie Motorsports Park. It features lightweight, sophisticated formula cars powered by both Honda and Ford motors and rides on Toyo Tires.
