DOWLER ANXIOUS TO BEGIN NEW SEASON
May 9, 2013. Sherwood Park, Alberta’s Noel Dowler and the #5 EMCO Dodge team have been extraordinarily busy preparing for the 2013 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series season. Earlier this year the team completed a move into their own new shop and everyone is anxious to kick off the 2013 racing season.
Embarking on their third season in the series, second on a full time basis, the #5 EMCO Dodge team is ready to take another step forward and achieve even more success. “We’ve grown a lot as a team” said driver Noel Dowler. “Every week we’re learning and improving and getting better results. I think the best example was getting a podium finish at Barrie last year which is a very tough track” he added.
The #5 EMCO Dodge team is also pleased to welcome new partner Safety-Kleen into the fold. “Having Safety-Kleen on board is a great addition” said Dowler. “That’s another indication of how our program is growing. We’re pleased to have them join our returning partners Rheem and Praxair to the EMCO team”.
Once again this year Dowler competed during Speedweeks this past February in Daytona Beach, Florida and the team has had their car out for a preseason shake down leading up to the first race at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park on the Victoria Day weekend. “Everything is looking really good for us to start the season” said the driver. “We’ve made some changes and improvements to the cars. Everyone on the EMCO Dodge team is super excited to get the season started.
The #5 EMCO Dodge team will open the 2013 season at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park this weekend with practice and qualifying Saturday May 18 and the race takes place Sunday May 19th. Race fans can also watch the season opening event LIVE on CTV.
