Brandon McFerran Finishes Second and Seventh at Sunset Speedway
This past weekend marked a double header at Sunset Speedway with a 25 lap feature on Saturday, followed by a 35 lap feature on Sunday. Brandon McFerran would run both features, finishing second on Saturday and seventh on Sunday.

On Saturday, he would finish first and second in his heats.

In the feature, he would start mid-pack and work his way through the field up to the second position. He was catching race leader Warren Paxton when the caution would fly with one lap to go for a car blowing up and laying oil around the track. Track officials would call the race with Paxton getting the win and McFerran second.

On Sunday, he would finish second in the first heat after starting second, followed by another second in the second heat after starting seventh.

In the feature, he would start in the sixth position. As he was looking to make his way through the field, he would get caught on the outside of a three-wide deal with Billy Swartzenburg and Ken Townsend that went wrong on lap nine. Townsend and McFerran wrecked in the deal, causing them both to have to restart the race at the tail of the field. He would restart the race in the 23rd position.

By the second caution a couple laps later, he had passed five cars to move into the 18th position.

With about 10 laps to go, McFerran made his way to the ninth position and would make two late passes to finish seventh.

Of Note: OSCAAR Modified competitor Davey Terry took the No. 64 McFerran Motorsports Mustang out for some practice laps. Photos of the driver swap are available on the website.
