Travis McLean Scores Victory at Full Throttle Motor Speedway
DURHAM, Ontario — It appears things are turning a corner for Travis McLean after an impressive weekend at Full Throttle Motor Speedway.
While the team has called Sauble Speedway their home the past couple years, everything began for them at Full Throttle with the family having rich history there. As a result, the decision was made to make a trip there and re-connect with fans.
With practice rained out, the team entered the Sportsman event without being able to know what adjustments their No. 6 entry would require. However, crew chief Derek McLean made the best guess possible and showed as he fast throughout the event. Despite no cautions, he made his way forward, ultimately crossing the finish line in third-place. However, following technical inspection, the top-two were disqualified, handing Travis McLean the victory.
After the turmoil to start the year, it was certainly nice to see the young man holding the black and white flag, and it now gives the team confidence heading into the rest of the campaign this year.
