Nick Clarke Picks Up Second Career OSCAAR Hot Rod Series Victory
For the second time in his OSCAAR Hot Rod career, Nick Clarke visited victory lane as he won Frostoberfest this past weekend at Flamboro Speedway.
Ken McNicol Sr. won the first heat ahead of Douglas Fischer, Logan Shwedyk, Nick Clarke, Darryl Stevenson, and Jerry Luckhardt.
Come feature time, Stephenson started pole ahead of Clarke, Shwedyk, Fischer, McNicol, and Luckhardt.
Nick Clarke would grab the top spot on opening lap with Fischer slotting into second ahead of McNicol, Shwedyk, Stephenson and Luckhardt. McNicol then made his move, getting alongside Fischer for second on Lap 4, completing the pass a lap later. Shwedyk continued to run fourth ahead of Stephenson and Luckhardt. Luckhardt was then able to get by Stephenson for fifth on Lap 9.
Nick Clarke led the rest of the way for his second career OSCAAR Hot Rod Series victory. Ken McNicol finished second in his OSCAAR Hot Rod debut, following a pair of runner-ups last weekend at Sunset Speedway by his son Kenny. Douglas Fischer rounded out the top-three for his first top-five in his third series start.
Dirt regular Logan Shwedyk placed fourth in his OSCAAR Hot Rod debut, with Jerry Luckhardt rounding out the top-five for his third top-five. Darryl Stephenson finished sixth in his second series start.
