Rick Woolner Memorial Race Comes Home This Weekend
« on: June 09, 2015, 07:56:13 PM »
Varney ON. -  This coming weekend (Saturday June 13th) the OSCAAR Modifieds are “coming home” for race one of the Rick Woolner Memorial, after a couple of years away from the track Rick called home Varney Speedway now Full Throttle Motor Speedway.  Julia Stewart, Rick’s sister has put in countless hours over the years building this memorial race into the primer open wheel modified race in Ontario along with Rick’s entire family and is looking forward to the home coming.  Ask any open wheel modified racer out there this is not just another race everyone wants there name on that trophy because it lets everyone know you put it all on the line just like Rick did!

Along with the OSCAAR Mods 50 lap feature race fans will also see the OSCAAR Midgets for 30 laps, Outlaw Late Models for 46 Laps and the Pro Challenge Series in also for the first time in a couple years for a 50 lap feature.  Grandstand opens at 3PM with the green flag at 5PM and you get all this racing for the low family affordable price of JUST $13.00 ages 11 and up and just $2.00 ages 10 and down, nowhere else at any track in Ontario will you get this much edge of your seat racing action at this low of a price!

Plus if you are looking for the ultimate view of the racing action then you need to check out the Full Throttle tail gate section.  Located in the 3 and 4 corner end of the speedway you can park your car camper or whatever right up next to the top of the wall and get a view of the racing like no other in the Province.  To reserve your spot (space is limited) contact the speedway, price is just 4 pit entry passes per spot, so if you’re bringing a carload it is truly the ultimate view of racing at Full Throttle!

Also as an added bonus for race fans Saturday Amanda-Lynn Mayhew our Full Throttle Ambassador will be down front doing a meet and greet with fans along with signing autographs and talking motorsports, hunting, fishing, fitness and all the other things she takes part in.  She is truly a great ambassador not only for Full Throttle but for all things happening in the great outdoors! Be sure to check out her website http://www.amandalynnmayhew.com/ or follow her on Facebook!

An if you want to make it a complete weekend Full Throttle also has a full card of racing action on Friday night starting at 7:30 PM with Jr Late Models, Mini Trucks, Fun Stocks, Street Stocks and the Crazy trains.  It is also “Meet the Drivers” night with an opportunity to go down on the track and talk to the drivers and get autographs.  Plus it is Leslie Ford night come out and meet the folks from Leslie Ford and talk about all the great products they have on their lots plus get a close up look at our beautiful 2015 Ford Mustang Pace Car!  Again all this great action for the everyday family friendly price of just $13.00 ages 11 and up and $2.00 ages 10 and down.

Also don’t forget the beer gardens will be in full swing all weekend as always looked after by our good friends from Frankie’s in Hanover and featuring all the best refreshments supplied by Waterloo Brewing Co. it’s not just craft it’s CRAFTED!  If beer isn’t your thing then maybe try a refreshing Radler, or we also have a full line of Seagram coolers and Mott’s Clamato, Canada’s Caesar of choice.  Plus our beer gardens overlooks corners one and two so you can cool off and not miss any of the hot action!

And as always at intermission we will be doing draws for rides in our two seater ride along cars!  First three rides for kids in our Kids Club two seater sponsored by Chalmers Fuels and three rides for adults in our 600 horsepower Super Late Model!
Located just 5KM south of Durham on Highway 6 or just an hour north of Kitchener Waterloo at the gateway to Grey County we also provide free overnight rough camping so, “come for the racing and stay for the weekend”!  For complete details on everything happening at Full Throttle Motor Speedway check out the website www.fullthrottlemotorspeedway.com
