How about a Cascar race at Budpark's 3/8mile clay oval here in Edmonton?

I voted no to your poll, this is my explanation. I like the Bud track very much, I've raced on it and crewed for a team that raced there for a number of years. But....I've never seen the track prepared as a dry slick track, I do not know if there have been any events run on it as dry slick. I do not know how good the surface would be (traction and roughness), so I would not be prepared to offer up our CASCAR as a Guinea Pig. We already do enough repairs and maintenance on the car, and I don't want to create more work for ourselves.

I could, however, be persuaded to change my mind and support a CASCAR event at Bud Park if I could see a dirt race run there on a dry slick track, and get convinced that the track surface will not beat the crap out of our car.

We need to have a CASCAR event in the Edmonton area, this is why the event at EIR last year was so important. I am very happy that we are returning there this year. Our team misses the race at the City Centre Airport and would welcome its return.

agree that the City Centre Airport race should be back on the calendar. I'd be booking my Westjet flight from Hamilton in a minute and would also visit Bud Park for the Sprint Car races as we did in 2000. If CART's demise comes true and the "Indy" races are cancelled, hopefully we'll be back in downtown "E" town.
