i run a thunder at sauble and just got a email from tim chapman from cayuga saying they are having thunder car invitionals on june 16, july 14 and aug.25 using the delaware street stock rules> was wondering if many guys are going to go or what kind of field are they expecting....sounds like a good show......

If they are using Delaware rules, then you'll probably see quite a few if they're off nights. Although I think there was an issue last time .
Streetstocker33 would know more about it.

Last time we ran there in 2005 the only issue they had were our tires. The Hoosiers

Trev can we count on your detailed report from the practice session this weekend???

You bet!

But I should point out that I don't know how detailed its going to be. I have work that day and won't get down there till around 3:30 or so.

I hope to get pitside, but am not sure how its all going to work out.

Have no fear, the Shadow notebook is warming up as we speak.  ;)  And I'm sure jr52 will keep us well posted with photos.

She'll be a busy day, and I'll be running all over the place, but I'm sure I'll be able to snap a few shots.

Unfortunately work and travel will interfere with the first event of the season..

Thanks for all of the updates, and information provided over the past years.

Forgive me for speaking out of turn, but has anyone considered that these cars haven't exactly gone through tech yet?

Thank You

P.S. - Why didn't you guys go with the new 7" rear spoiler they are allowing?

Where did you see this?

You would think, in the rule book.  :D

I don't know what rule book you read, but here is what the 2007 Delaware rule book has on it's web page.

" 5” rear spoiler no wider than the trunk lid optional.  "

I guess you didn't get the point. You would think the rule book would be the "be all and end all" . Just go through the "open door" and ask for what you want. Tell them you can't get 5" spoilers anyone, or the 7" are cheaper or it will help create a 2nd groove. They'll let you use the 7" this season and maybe, just maybe, they'll add it in the 2008 rules so everyone else can make that decision too.
