DAVIDSON BLOWS OUT CANDLES ON 15 WIN SEASON AS
2009 KART SEASON CONCLUDES AT MERRITTVILLE SPEEDWAY

Thorold, Ontario (September 16) – Fourth generation driver Dylan Davidson had 3 reasons to celebrate as the 2009 Lucas Oil Kart Weekly Racing Series came to a close Tuesday September 15th at Merrittville Speedway.
Dylan Davidson made his 15th visit of the season to KC Auto Parts Victory Lane in the RCM Racing Equipment Junior 1 Division.
Secondly Davidson earned his first Points Championship in the class as a rookie after moving up from the Novice Division this season.
Thirdly, Davidson finished the night celebrating his 9th Birthday with family, friends and fellow kart racers.
Looking ahead to next season, Davidson’s September 15th Birthday makes him eligible to defend his Junior 1 Title in 2010.
Defending RCM Racing Equipment Junior 1 Champion Jake Lutz also had quite a rookie season of his own after moving up to the Ed McPherson Construction Junior 2 Division.
Lutz won 12 Features throughout the season to earn his first Junior 2 Title.
Blake Priestley won the Philbrick Farm & Garden Equipment Wilder Racing Engines Senior Animal Feature – successfully defending his 2008 Championship in the process.
In other Original Pizza Logs Divisional action, Brett Senek won his fourth Superior PetroFuels Junior Flathead Feature of the season while James Moll won the overall title as a rookie in 2009 as well.
Mike Journeaux won the Cassell Manufacturing Senior Flathead Feature while fourth generation driver Alicia Braun won the Points title in her second go round as a Tuesday Night Kart Racer.
In the KC Auto Parts Novice 2 Division, rookie Brandon Ruch won his second feature of the season. Joshua Hansen won the overall title.
The Drummond Home Hardware Garden City Auto Complex Novice 1 Division saw Kyle Phillips win his 4th feature of the season.
Overall 2009 Season Points will be released once calculated after each driver’s points are adjusted after three dropped events.
