Varney ON. - With Friday night racing action rained out fans and drivers were treated to some of the hottest temperatures Saturday at Full Throttle and hot temperatures mean a slick track and loads of action for fans to take in.
The night kicked off with Fun Stocks taking to the highbanks and with car counts down from their normal twenty plus the drivers that did make the trip came to race. In feature one it would be Nick Clarke from Clifford running the 25 number for Billy Lovell from Mildmay whose car developed issues and was still on the trailer taking home the checker. Second in this feature would go to #32 Ben Klages from Hanover, third #9 Sandy Eccles from Mount Forest, fourth #5 Jeramy Duguay from Hanover and in fifth #48 John Green from Drayton. Feature two would fine the drivers dealing with the evening sun rounding corner three as this feature was plagued with many cautions. In the end it would be #48 John Green making his way back to victory lane followed by #84 Nick Clarke, third #71 Justin McKague from Teeswater, fourth #34 Alex Hastie from Durham and rounding out the top five #73 Sherri McIntyre from Bayfield.
Street Stock action from this past weekend will mean a little more time spent this week replacing door panels as fans were treated to some closer than normal racing action. In feature one it would be #20 Ryan Edwards-Kiss from Londesboro getting out in front early and putting some distance between him and the rest of the field. Second would go to #35 Mike Thebeau from Mitchell, third #6 Rob Wark from Chesley, fourth #3 Mark King from Hillsburgh and fifth #1 Bob Parsons from Princeton. In feature two it would be #35 Mike Thebeau jumping to the early lead but as laps would whined down #20 Ryan Edwards-Kiss would make his way to the back bumper of Thebeau but be unable to find a way around him settling for second. Third would go to #6 Rob Wark, fourth #3 Mark King and rounding out the top five #1 Bob Parsons.
In Outlaw Late Model action it would again be #11 Cole Weber from New Hamburg taking both features but it would take a late race caution in feature two to allow that to happen. With only two laps to go the last thing #23 Paul Millagan from Innisfill wanted to see was the caution to come out but it did tighten up the field and giving the #11 of Weber the high side on the restart. They battled side by side from the drop of the green and by corner three Weber was ahead by just enough to pull down in front of Millagan taking the low line away and take it to the checkers. This race also saw its worst accident after the checker was in the air. Racing for third #00 Trevor Thompson from Elmira would get loose coming out of corner four making it across the line but coming to rest nose to the wall just past the finish line blocking the high side of the track. As #40 Mark Dixon from Durham and #77 Tim Gordon from Cambridge came around the corner battling to the finish, a quick move to the left by #77 Gordon saved a direct hit but the backend of his car would kick out just enough to hit Thompsons car sending them both to the shop this week for some major repairs. In feature one second would go to #40 Mark Dixon, third #77 Tim Gordon, fourth #23 Paul Millagan and fifth #00 Trevor Thompson.
Wrapping up the night where the Crazy Trains with another seven sets hitting the highbanks in each feature. Feature one it would be Texas Traincar Massacre from Mount Forest bring home the checker in front of Crazy Till We Die from Cambridge and 454 Go Baby Go from Owen Sound. In feature two it as Crazy Till We Die, Rockford Rednecks and Texas Traincar Massacre.
