Championships:
4cylinder: Tom Miligan had an amazing year n with shawn murray and ricky walt gone next season...definitely a favorite to win the championship
Thunder Car: Frank Davey had sum bad luck this year but im definitely predicting him to make it 3 in a row next season!!!
Late Model: John Gaunt...finished 4th in the points missed one entire night of racing or it woulda been a closer battle....i expect Johnny to bring er home this upcoming season
a little early to be posting this but gotta pass sum time...what yall think?
-
4 cylinder- brandon crumbie, in the few nights i was at barrie i saw something in this kid
thunder- st. onge and flyin frank right down to the last night
LM- john gaunt and tim watson neck and neck for the title, the burrows boys and happy herb neck and neck for rookie of the year
-
Burrows Boys may not be going to LM....it hasn't been decided, but if they don't they ahve to be favourites for 4 cyl. next year. depends, if they start to focus on teching those cars, the mustang resurgance may come back. The track has been working so hard on mustangs i now some Hondas are running the largest cam possible, and got teched for their cam by doing a VACCUUM TEST. That proves nothing! If the track gets their Honda act together, i think Big dog may be the favourite. My car wont be slow either ;)
-
okay....i thought i should also way in on the other divisions.
In the thunder Cars i think Darryl St. Onge is the hands down favourite to win it, but don't count out Chance Isherwood, making his comeback in a next generation thunder built by mr. Reynolds himself.
In the LLM, if the 47 is shipping out then guant ahs to be the dominant favourite. I know Baker bought a new car, so he may have the equipment to contend too....but don't discount the wiley veteran, tim Watson, like always he will be putting his two cents in as well. If stompin Tom does leave it isnt a good thing, but the good thing is we have three opr four guys who are just as good!
-
Tim Watson to OSCAAR
-
Hey Buford whose car did Tim buy? I heard he was down to the Milton area this week looking at a car. Guess he isn't very happy with the way he and his son were treated at Barrie this year!
-
Romour has Tim in a car that was run by a former Champion!!!!
-
Well I guess that would be the 61 car seeing as who it is that is telling the rumour and the fact Tim was in Milton this week looking at a car. If that's the case Tim either found another investor(which he seems very good at doing) or MacKinnon has deeper pockets than I thought.
Or could he have went the cheaper route and travelled a little further west on the 401 and bought the 93 Woosley backup car and former Robinson championship car.
-
where does that leave brandon for 2007?
-
Thats crazy...i would bet lil Watson will be racing wherever his dad is that weekend...
-
yea i was speaking to tim at peterborough he said he was going oscaar should be interesting...i dont doubt that brandon will be back at barrie this season
-
I hope not..lol..he is fast....VERY FAST
-
Spencer you forgt another rookie in LLM and I personally think that Frank Daveys is gonna have alot more pressure on him if guys do thier homework in the thunder car class, hell out on a limb I'll predicting a rookie to give him all he can handle, but we'll see, as for the 4 cyl Mustang guys need to do thier homework and start handing it back to the import-invastion!!! tell me this when you hear the word race car have you ever pictured VolksWagen or Civic!! I didn't think so! these cars are capable so get it done fellas
-
hey...the tech guys at Barrie have to get it together with regards to teching imports..they have really slowed us down!! But they have done nothing tot he imports...On Hondas they do a vaccuum test to testfor the cam!!!! THAT DOES NOTHING...we are trying man..but we got all we can...the truth is that when the Hondas get that 13" LCA on their cars they turn better than we ever will
-
Hey barrie97ps, all thing aside if somebody can get as many seasons out of a honda as are on yours I would be surprised!!!. That old stang of yours won alot of races and a few championships!!!
-
thankyou wade peterson my v w is gonna be very fast for next year hopefully

For those of you that did not see our press release it outlined our racing program for the '07 season in the central Ontario region. The vice president of our Canadian Young Driver Program (CYDP) will have Brandon Watson once again running the full season at Barrie Speedway as well as invitionals at other tracks. If head office is as optimistic a year from now as they as now he will advance to LLM for '08 or head south for further testing. Regarding his father Tim Watson, as soon as negoiations are complete and his contract is signed he will running the OSCAR schedule with a new SLM car and as many invitionals as possible with his current LLM.
At this time I would like to thank all our loyal fans for their continued support as well as the full time and part time staff in our engine shop, frame shop and the great guys in the wind tunnel shop.
Thanks again, Ken (deep pockets) Mackinnon

Ken l heard that after Tim tested at Chicago and Talledaga , you were approached by a new sponsor who is considering re opening the old barrie horse track as a speedway is there any truth to the rumor.
-
I heard that Tim was testing a Toyota Cup car and that the new Red Bull team ( run by Marty Gaunt) was looking to sign him for next year. There was also stipulation in the contract that would make Brandon a driver-development driver for Toyota, with him getting into cup but 2010. Sounds like the Red Bull ride would have primary sponsorship from Ken MacKinnon Construction....
Any truth to that?
-
LMAO...come on guys..we are tlaking short track ontario Limited Late Models. Thsi si not whee NASCAR finds its next drivers...
-
And with an attitude like that, it never will be...:P
-
lol...yea....but its a true statement...you ahve to be in CASCAR up here winning before you are even noticed...
-
Well, maybe if we didn't have two seperate classes of late models, a fully fuctional touring series for crates and non-crates alike, tracks in close proximity that could cooperate, promoters who didnt step on everyone's toes at every opportunity, press that could actually be made to give a d***, and guys who didnt completely screw everything up and everyone over trying to take us "to the next level", then maybe it'd be something to look into...I swear, sometimes we're our own worst enemy....
EDIT: Good to know we don't have a swear filter on here...Ooops...
Yes there is, it's just not automatic.
Greasemonkey.
-
lol...no worries man..I completely agree, we are kiling ourselves. Every division in Ontario should fakll under one sanctioning body, not just home rules...jsut like in all other sports...then the competition is the same and the quality can be judged fairly. LLM an LM should be put together....jsut call them Late Model..the differences are so small and pointless neways..jsut enough to make a difference in the horsepower. I agree with Mopar...1 latemodel class and maybe a touring latemodel series would help...
-
I'd settle for a a gradual movement of bringing the late model classes together over a 2-4 year timeframe, and 1-2 years with the other main classes (modified, thunder car/street stock and 4-cylinder). Heck, I'd settle for some stopgap measures to get everyone equal. If it means having the promoters pick a track and sending 2 or 3 of their best for a massive testing session to see what would work and what wouldn't, so be it. The Weekend Warrior Series could almost do it, but ultimately it should fall on the promoters and their technical committes to figure it out and administer it. The dirt tracks appear to be able to work together, even if they are competing head-to-head, so why can't we? If we could do it, it'd be a heck of a lot easier to promote paved oval racing as a whole...

It is a little early to be making predictions about whos going to win next year, but i think that in...
4 Cyl - Brandon Crumbie is going to take it. He is an AMAZING driver, and I know for a fact that he will be going for that Championship next year. As far as I know, Tom Milligan doesn't want to move up to Thunder Car so he will not be wanting to win the championship.
Thunder Car - I would like to see Dave Doucette win it, and if not him, Frank Davey..
LLM - I would LOVE to see Gord Sheperd win the Championship! He is one of my ABSOLUTE favorite drivers.
-
Milligan isnt moving up so he will not be wanting to win the champpionship eh.....makes zero sense..moving on...Shepard doesnt ahve a hope in h***...but i give him the best fo luck..

well your predictions are quite good...i completely forgot about crumbie..him and his dad are great guys on and off the track and i have no doubt that brandon can bring one home this season!... as for dave doucette i heard rumour he is running sunset next season... gordie sheperd definitely a favorite to win the championship this upcoming season...but like i said dont be counting the 25 of john gaunt out...that is if he comes back to barrie next year...
-
Oh I'm not counting John Gaunt out...he is also one of my favs and he really does deserve the championship after he lost it 2 years in a row now. He so could have won it if he hadn't missed that one day. But Gord Sheperd is who I'd like to see win. Hm, I haven't heard that Dave is switching to Sunset...I'll have to ask Chrissy or Lisa next time I talk to them. Brandon and Dave are both great guys. Love watching them both race! and I really hope Brandon wins the Championship, thats what he wants before he moves up to Thunder Car.
-
yea that would be nice to see...i love racing with those guys...cleanest ones on the track...
-
that doucette rumour has been around since early august so im wondering if theres any truth to it....
-
I doubt it. But sometimes people just want a change...it will be interesting to see
-
I know that my Dad wanted to switch to Sunset this past Season, but i convinced him not too. And after we ruined 2 good tires there bkuz of the track, and what happened with Zinkie at the last invitational we will not be running there again. Sunset is an awesome track, it just needs to get repaved!!!!!!!
-
Yes the rumours are true..... The Architect has almost finished the drawings and the permits have been applied for to turn the old Barrie Horse Tractk into North Americas first indoor 1/2 mile paved oval dedicated strictly to stock car racing. It has been an engineering nightmare to design a roof structure of this magnatude but with the use of skyhooks it looks like construction should begin shortly. The Blue Jay Catering Center as it will be called will put an end to rain delays and cancelled dates which have plaged this racing season. We all look forward to the 2026 racing season when this magnificent project will be complete....
-
HAHAHAH...good one
-
Gotta like it!!
-
lol all i can say is wow!
-
I love it when people type something like that so matter-of-fact that you almost think its true...i love it

I heard they will be flooding the track in the winter and running an Ice Capades Invitational series. All the local studs will be encouraged to attend. Driving disputes will be settled with skates and no gloves. Fans thinking they've gone to a hockey game will not be disappointed.
-
as for dave doucette i heard rumour he is running sunset next season
Definitely NOT
-
Doucette had a great season at Barrie this year he was a top contending car almost every week why would he want to leave?
-
something to do with the re-caps i heard
but i take everything i hear with a grain of salt...
-
Barrie is running recaps and towel citys next year so should not be an issue
-
towel city are still recaps arent they? just a better type?
-
they are a bias ply racing recap...kind of resembles the vintage mod tires...
-

Does that mean better performance than what they currently run.. or ran.. or .. ah forget it..

OK ladies and gents ur gettin' carried away here! I would be a year earnings that Dave stays at Barrie why you ask it's simple he likes it there (and the Barrie TC's have the Sunset TC's covered) I highly doubt that John Gaunt would leave, and purestock97 I outta slap you did you not pay any attention to Gord in the last 4 weeks of racing they're on the ball now and has a decent shot at being a contender!!! I have a question for Sunset TC fans why is it when you tighten the racing up you're big gun heads for the fences???? ( Sunset=room Kawartha= lotsa room and Barrie= I can't drive here LOL he's fast when he's got room but in a crowd he ain't much, come on Poole I dare ya to prove me wrong 3 in a row at the SS now come race at a real track, remember rubbin's racin')ohh yeah one more thing purestock97 if you spent as much time thinking of ways to make your car faster, as you do complaining and thinkg of how you're getting the short end, you might actually win something!
-
Wade Peterson.... Did u drive a race car at all this year?? That's pretty rude to say for #97 to take as much time to think of ways to make his car faster as he does complaining. Are you just on this site to put people down and act like a tough guy?? i.e. Your example above about proving you wrong and the one about Crayola Crew.... Grow up.....

Dude my parents couldn't afford to build me an engine this year so I did the best with what I have. And i had fun doing it...
also sure i payed attention to Gord in the last few weeks...but the only slapping here will be me on you if you ever talk to me like you just did in person. My financial problems were the reason my car wasnt faster. My rents spend 40, 000 a year on my brothers snocross and there is no money left for me at the end. Next time you try insulting people, be a little more careful of what you say. Insulting me and my family is not a good thing
-
#97ps.... You did a great job on the track this year... And if you did the best you could with what you had, be proud.... At least you didn't give yourself the name of being a dirty driver or anything along those lines.... It takes a lot just to get out in a race car and Pure Stock is SUPPOSED to be a class where you don't spend thousands of dollars on the car. Unfortuneately it has gotten to that point, but just keep doing what your doing and have fun.... And Wade, if your so concerned about him spending so much on a car, you start paying for it then cause he's quite content with what he has.
-
Budget was the issue....how much does an enclosed trailer cost?
-
lmao...it was for my brother!!!! he races snocross! we ahve that to stay warm in the winter..u see our truck? you see the new house we built this spring...trust me we didnt have the bones available..my rents could afford it...but would not spend it...u are welcome to any time see whats in that car...195 Scarlett line hillsdale ontario..L0L 1V0....anytime...
My rents bought the car last spring...and told me get to know the car n stuff this year (i had never driven a standard until the practise day) and then next winter we will build the engine...to me enclosed trailers n stuff have nothing to dow ith it..That is for my brother...my brother races semi pro snocross...two brand new sleds...entry fees of over 200 a weekend...hotels...two nights at over 100 a night....race fuel...550/barrel...three barrels so 1650 in fuel..clutches...800/per we have 4....u get the picture yet? sometimes there just isnt enough money to go around...
-
I shouldnt even have to justify myself...but because people on here have to pry....now you know..
-
lmao....thanx man...i know its you..lol...and yea not too concerned but if people wanna talk then...i will explain myself...
-
So.... nobody knows about the new thundercar tires.. performance wise?
-
haven't heard..which means they areprobably okay....
-
barrie97ps, do you talk for the sake of talking? and why would you hearing about them indicate that they are ok? are you the new tech guy? do you even run thundercar? dude, since you have been on here all i read are these dumb messages that you leave everywhere. i'm all for having new members here, the more the merrier. But please, i come to this site to talk about racing and to find out whats going on in Ontario short track racing. Not to read the crap you keep dropping. So please, do me and everyone else a favour? cut out the nonsense and talk about racing like everyone else does. thanks.
-
And for Barriefan, i talked to ron mace yesterday and he just finished the tire test a few days ago. Although he said the weather didn't cooperate much, they did get to put some laps down on the new tire, and he was happy. Its really hard to say what the wear is going to be like with these tires because of not having much rubber on the track and being cold. He figures that although they may not wear as good as the diamondbacks(what tire does?) he thinks they will last alot longer then the other race tires currently available.
-
Cool. Thanks!

I'll say Brandon Crumbie for the P/S, not because of anything but he knows how to drive, be it a Prelude or a Mustang because I know , he will have a run for his money though with some of the veterans coming back, and so long as noone deliberately takes him out and he keeps his wheels on the track and not rolling everywhere. For Thunders, I'd have to go with Doucette, great year for him, Flyin' Frank will give him fits, and Callow will make it interesting, Late Modals going to be a toss up between Dwayne Baker,John Gaunt(if he returns), Gord Shepherd and Steve Quesnelle with Herb Walters taking Rookie Honors. As far as I go, probably top 15 with Tia Dale making I hope top 20 or 25. The 59 Thunder should make top 10 next year with his new car.

Give the kid a break, he is just having fun ,he can say what he likes unlike some he is not out to hurt any one ,and one day he will be big enough to kick your *** on and off the track.

4-cyl. Tom Milligan Champion unless "Gipper" returns, then make it Extreme team 4 years running. Thunder car : If a horse power motor is aloud in a new gen car next season I got to be a homer and give it to the 11 car, if not Callow is over due. LLM As the announced him at sunset, Gordy Walters is ready for another tittle, but dont count out Baker. If his car dont sell, he'll be back with a vengence.

4 cyl Watson, Thunder St. Onge LLM, Walters. L.M oops.
-
4 cyl. Brandon Watson if he races the whole year, if not Brandon Crumbie. Thunders. Every year Frank the tank tells us he is not running for points, so if that is true it will be between Eddie ( if he freshens his motor) & Callow ( if he takes some camber out of the right side tire) Limited Lates. Gordie freakin' Shepherd or Michael A. Brown ( but I'm very biased )
-
Personally, I don't think that Brandon Watson will be winning the championship...enough people got fed up of him winning so many features, then pulling into the tech shed and having...camber, weight, anything non motor related checked that they will be bringing $100 and having him torn down...and also only having 150 lbs after winning FOUR features by at least 3 car lengths...when Shawn Murray and Brandon Crumbie both won TWO features and each had 200 lbs in their cars... and Tom Milligan as far as I know doesn't want to move up to Thunder Car, he wants to keep running 4 Cyl. so he won't win the championship.
-
You really think its motor? typical. The kid is good, and he is in a really good car, and he has a wealth of experience from the entire Watson clan to draw from. I'd be dissapointed if he didn't win, but he did so why cry about it? A few years down the road when the kid has made it in racing (and he will, i have no doubt) Just be glad that you know him and were lucky enough to follow his career from the start. He is a really cool kid and i wish him all the best.
-
Btw, the gipper will reign supreme in 4 cyl, with watson right on his heels. Thundercar, its hard to bet against st onge, but my dark horse is a toss up between tremblay, flyin frank (its not in him to NOT run for points, i think he lives for it actually), and newcommer to tc Chance isherwood in his new gen hotrod.
-
It seema theres alot of drivers moving up to thundercars, in particular the new gens. Looks like the crates might be the way to go?.
-
The crate is an awesome motor. Yes, it doesnot have as much power as SOME horsepower motors. We have ran 3 hard seasons on ours, beat that. Save your engine money and use it at the R.I.M. shop. Handling is what wins, not always power!
-
Taj, have you freashend it? kind of interested in running one.
-
Not freshend yet. I'm waiting till after the drivers meeting to decide. If we need to run the crate next season I'm hoping that track management allows us to use Howard Race Engines to do the freshen-up. Nothing against Stefco, but since I'm totally iliterate about motors as well as the english language, I trust Billy, and he can usually explain things so even I understand.

I have been dealing with John for years now, he was doing our Super series motors, and now our crates.
You couldn't want for a nicer guy, we worked all day and night at his shop to get an engine built for the Toronto Molson Indy. We fired it up just before going out and qualified the car with no problem.
His work is top notch and his prices are excellent.
He will let you know what you know whats up before the freshening, so you are not kept in the dark.

whats a banquet without a bit of fight action anyways?????????????????
-
I think the 4 cyl. is shaping up to be the battle of the Brandon's as well with Crumbie and Watson battling it out for the title next year and the Burrows boys right in the mix as well. Gipper will be a factor as well. In the TC class I agree St. Onge if he races each week is the fav with Davey, Callow and Tremblay right with him. My darkhorse is Holden who apparently has a NGTC of his own on its way. In the Lates, Walters will be on a mission to become the first ever to win the Champ 3 years in succession, but Baker will give him all he can handle next year. I look for a even stronger year from Shepherd with a top 3 not out of reach. Make or break year for Jongen too I think. Herb Walters for Rookie of the Year I'd have to agree with you there. Also hear Allan Inglis will run the full sched at Barrie next year. If true he could also land within the top 5 in the LM points at seasons end!!!!
-

Didn't Simon Stolte win 5 in a row in the mid-late 80's for Late Models?
-
Statsman would be the guy to answer that one - because he IS the statsman
-
I took a look at the Barrie trophy Sat night and while it appears there was a period of time missing on the winners name plates I was just referring to the winners that were actually recorded on the actual trophy. It dates back to the 1965 season in which Vic Parsons was the actual first receipient and the dates run at least into the early part of the 80s, as I remember seeing Don Hawn won back to back in 81-82. But it makes sense what your saying MARCISFAN as the plates that were missing appear to be at the time Simon raced there. While I dont know about 5 in a row I think 5 years in the decade of the 80s is entirely possible for Simon. Ya gotta figure Garry Reynolds would be on there a few times during this missing time period as well. But your right Statsman is the one to ask!!!! Rod if your out there can you enlighten us bud?????
-
MR. GREASE MONKEY,I'm sure John would do an excellent job for me, that I will not question, however , in my opinion, I think I should have the right to choose another reputable builder without giving up my benefits to using a sealed motor. ie not pulling it apart in a tech shed at the end of a long night. That is all I meant by that comment. Their our a lot of other good people outhere trying to help keep our costs down and still keeping us racing well, and I for one believe they should get a chance at the work, otherwise we would be just legends who can only buy parts from one supplier or Cascar teams that our forced to buy body panels off of the same guy that just sold these teams(in principal) to Nascar.
-
TAJ
thats the whole problem with the crate motor program it should only be one builder so that it can be kept above board much easier. If way to many builders become involved a whole new can of worms gets opened up.
-
TAJ

Exactly!!!
It should be reputable shops. I have even heard that some teams are doing crates themselves. I would question that for sure.
For TAJ, i was just pointing out that John Stefko has an excellent reputation. Surley you will go where you want, maybe the the shop that is close to you. We chose John and are willing to commute the 5 hour drive.
Greasemonkey.
-
I agree with both sides Johns engines speak for themselves they are awsome and he supports racing everywhere he can,,, but there is local shops starving because of this program and they too are quite reputible and deserve the chance. So maybe there should be some program where John can work with the locals and make everybody happy.???
-
that is exactly why i hate the crate motor program , everyone was all over it but failed to realize that it was going to hurt local engine shops. But also if a crate motor program is going to work that is the only way that it can be controlled. So if you want to let another builder redo a crate be prepared for a tear down otherwise the crate program has no integrety. From all the rumours the crate motor program is already out of hand anyway.

In the Lates, Walters will be on a mission to become the first ever to win the Champ 3 years in succession
Didn't Simon Stolte win 5 in a row in the mid-late 80's for Late Models?
Simon was the track champion in the top division at Barrie from 1986 through 1990. He also won many touring series events and championships in those days. He had a relatively short career but it was very successful.
Brian Malcolm won three titles in four years 1982, 1984 and 1985 in the Sportsman and Ian Bourque did the same in 1990, 1992 and 1993.
BTW, my records show Garry Reynolds and Tom Walters tieing for the 6 Cylinder title in the aborted 1974 season. That would make Walters a 3-time Barrie Champ. I don't know if he got a trophy but I know John Eacott did for the LLM title that year.
-
I knew you had the answer
-
As far as the rumours go about Barrie Speedway thunder car crate motors being played with, I cant honestly speak to that. As far as I know the only cars running a true crate are Sean Cunningtons 68,Darryl St. Onges 00, and our 11 cars. The 90 the 29 and the 59 have both removed their seals and created "horsepower"motors and as far as I know the other 3 that are out there are now in street cars. And as far as reputable shops go, I feel anyone would have a tough argument on their hands to say that Howard Race Engines isn't one of them. Billy will build you what ever you want ,but I dont believe he would risk his reputation by sealing a motor that wasn't legite. I don't have an issue with the motor being torn down. When I purchased it, it was explained to me that the motor can be torn down at any time the track decides, but it would be taken to a shop to be done.If anything was dampered with, we would be suspended for one year and be responcible for the costs incured. If everything was as it should be, the motor would be reassemled and resealed at no cost.

Love watching them both race! and I really hope Brandon wins the Championship, thats what he wants before he moves up to Thunder Car.
im lead to believe John wont be back for 2007

Yep, l hear John is done for good with racing period.
-
Nope John isn't done. He just hasn't announce what he is doing for the 2007 season. Anyone close to him is aware of his plans but nothing has been annouced yet and won't be until he is ready to announce it. He does have a ride for the up coming season - wait for the surprise its coming.
-
I have heard from a few people that he bought a car from McColl and is racing in the NCTS next year. But I have also heard that Gord is done with racing & he doesn't have a ride, we'll see.
-
4Cylinder- Gipper is gonna take it continue with the extreme dominance
Thunder Car- I think Brian Murray will be up in the running and i think Dave Doucette will take it.
Late Models- Gord Shepard is my favorite pick unless John Gaunt Makes his return
-

You are right Gaunt has gone to Cascar/nascar,for sure .
-
I think a certain used car salesmen from Bradford will be quick in thunder cars next year
-
what do you think the predictions are for sunset this year .
-
Sunset rocks this will be a big year,Parsons ( new car), Poole (new car) and Morrow (hungry to win back the championship he dominated for years) in the llm, Barrie must be desperate coz pinball McCloud is back, he will start screaming wine-ing and complaining as usual-- its a yearly habit ,bet he's back at Sunset by August.
-
I would say Gipper (Dave Glaze) in the 4 cyl for sure. Thunders I dont watch them much. Late model i would say Baker or Shepherd for sure.
-

Funny. I bet you have four teeth total.
-
Walters again for Limited Lates, Flyin Frank Davey in the Thunder, and Dave Glaze 4 cyl are my predictions
-
llm, baker thunder,doucett 4s,tom Milligan charger,robbie sikes
-
I like your prediction 2fst4u but im not sure if i'll be running the charger or not might just run the other division but i appreciate the support.
-
In the thunder Cars i think Darryl St. Onge is the hands down favourite to win it, but don't count out Chance Isherwood, making his comeback in a next generation thunder built by mr. Reynolds himself.
Chance isherwood aint goona do shit in a thunder car he couldnt drive at sunset and he sure as hell couldnt drive nick (the dick) frenches car at barrie hit everything
-
Wow somebody sure has a pickle somewhere and they apparently dont like it. Ive seen Chance take that mustang and do incredible things with it, great back to the front runs at Kawartha...Last night at Kawartha he starts dead last and finished 6th in car that didnt run practice or the heats due to problems gettin there....so to say he cant drive is pretty retarded considering he can probly drive circles around you.
-
ya did u say the last night at kawartha oh ya so one race out of the whole season. wow must be good not ive seen him race 2 in case u dont remember i seen a whole pile of parts sittin in the sunset infied one year enough to build another car must have been everyone elses fault like always but hey u must have raced against him so u no everything.
-
Baker#48 Flyin Franky#49 Burows boyz 4cyl Charger #55Monette....Hands down
-
llm#48 tc dave doucett 4 bannger ??? charger 57 casey or crumbie good racin so far this year!!!!!! tommy who????
-
Ok my turn to chime in on this one!!!
4 cyl- "The Gipper" or Stevie "Tiger Vision" Slaughter
TC- Dave Doucette hands down!!!
LLM- really to hard to tell but the usual suspects should rise!!
As for the comments about Chance Isherwood, you need to shut ur yap take alook at the Kawartha points for 2007 he's finished 1,5,2!! and will contend for the Championship in Nicks 4 cyl!! I remember being a kid and watching Al Turner bend and mangle lots of race cars and he turned out to be one of the best did he not??? Hell I bet you even if I drew you a detailed map you couldn't drive your finger up your...... As for the his Thunder car he'll get it out a few times this year and run a full points run for next season and he will be competitive I have no doubt!! I like the way the guy drives and he gets'er to the front!! say anything about the past pal cause it's just that the past hell I bet you still think Dale Sr. is the stuff!!!
-
looks like some people may be right if the points stay fairly close to where they are now
-
Too bad the LLM's couldn't run the 47 clean. all that is left now is a yawn show. ;D
-
Silverstone they did run him clean, he was havin troubled gettin his car dialed in, and the big wreck that Lewis created the last night Tommy was there musta sealed the deal for him to leave, but right from the first night to the last night he ran his car was never right and could'nt keep up with the front runners anyways...
-
hey Justme, i predict that you will win the tundercar championship next year!!!!! NOT....lol.....you'll be a front runner anyways so we'll see what happens when the time comes you big cheater
-
I heard, this is JUST a rumour.....that just me is ....... a republican.....
-
actually thayne you are wrong. I heard from a credible source that justme is a communist ! But he may be a republican....i'll have a look into that for you
-
Why does everything have to do with politics Gary? I hate politix.
-
Politics ''Don't Get me Started''
-
all anyone in this country has to know is put an 'X' int he box that is beside the word LIBERAL when they are voting....nuff said...lol
-
Thayne You got to be Kidding right'''Oh My GOD I said Don't get Me started''''
-
Oh Thayne... What planet do you come from? And why would you post that here... I'm so disappointed with you! LOL!
-
I am in no way kidding and any time oyu want to talk politics at the track come on over...I love political debating...one day i hope to be an MP...trust me....i will whipe the floor with you or make you change ur mind...
-
Well Thayne how about we leave it as I have my opinion and you have yours. If we debated this topic I'm pretty sure we would not be friends like we are now...
-
liberal barrie97? that is the word in the dictionary that is defined as a SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT. can you say sponsorship scandal? can you say cut defense spending to the point that our troops can not safely do their job? can you say arrogance? liberal ---flmao
-
can you say decreasing the national debt, can you say spending money in the RIGHT areas, can you say not in bed with GWB....CONSERVATIVES FLMAO
also...lets discuss this if anywhere in off topic and get back to the threads at hand....
-
your right we are likely about to get our collective wrist slap by cro or gm. you like that pun "collective". ps better dead than red--except for my redneck lol
-
wow guys, I think you should start a politics thread. that's all way over my head. I could care less who's in charge. They are all the same to me
-
liers, cheats and theives, kinda like thayne exept thayne dont theive
-
thayne thieves all the time...just ask him
-
Hey stop picking on Thayne... He'll sic his dog on you if you're not careful...
-
his dog wouldn't hurt a fly!
-
kahne you should care. people have died so that you could care there may come a time when you will not be able to care.
-
i mean as long as there is democracy then whoever is in parliament is no biggie...catch my drift?
-
yes it is a biggie, quick history lesson grasshopper. 1933 Nazi elected democratically in germany, world thought no biggie, take over Austria no biggie, take over Czech republic OK little biggie but not bad... i think you could see where this is going. next time you see a vet tell him/her thanks so that you can say no biggie. not picking on you but you must own what you say and be answerable for the same.
-
I would suggest that it is important to vote, to have a part in the process of democracy. I do not agree with the actions and policies of a certain political party that has, until recently been in power. Nevertheless a RACING forum is not the place to discuss politics that are not directly involved in racing. This is my opinion which i am entitled to of course, thankfully because a great many Canadians went to war on behalf of our society and for democratic rights which we have and will continue to have. I have thanked veterans, both those of world wars and other local wars, peacekeepers and also those who stand in harm's way for us every day. I was very pleased to hear about "Heroes Night" (for members of the Military, Police, Ambulance Service and Firefighters) at Delaware Speedway, and I hope it was a very successful event for them. As most Emergency Service workers would tell you (and I would suggest Soldiers as well) we are not "heroes", we are just doing our jobs, but it's nice to be recognized for a job well done once in awhile.
-
good words thunder6. and you are right but does a little education even here hurt that much. sometimes if you hit the right button it sets me off, sorry about that. ps did you notice the armed forces banner at the Montreal ncts race? we had them last year as a corprate partner at acms and were very proud to do so. hows that fir returning to a race thread.
-
I did not see the race, but it is good that they have the advertising up for recruitment. I think many young people discount the Armed Forces and service to their country as a suitable career choice, and hopefully the numbers will come up through these initiatives. I am proud of my service to my community, and I would encourage anyone to pursue any of these noble professions. I have many friends who are soldiers, and they all tend to be stand up individuals who are always loyal and selfless, and we are lucky to have them serving us as a community.
-
thayne thieves all the time...just ask him
I have been known to thieve the odd time..."charger" who are you? Jeff?
-
geez Thayne I thought you were right on top of things on this forum. Charger is a charger driver at barrie speedway. I won't say who cause that is not my place. But don't worry he's a great guy.
-
Evidently, I am not up on as much stuff as i thought..i took a night off to watch "The Hills" season premiere....lol
incase u were wondering Lauren wants nothing to do with Heidi
-
No actually I wasn't but thanks... I think. LOL!
-
whose Lauren? and who's Heidi? lol....
-
Heidi and Lauren are HOT, thats all u ahve to know...lol
-
You Guys are MESSED UP''
-
well thayne i ll tell you what you know who i am if you really think about it
i pit on the same side and just a bit up the hill from you
-
Jay? Jim? end the suspence...lmao
-
ok thayne it jim ???
-
Jim your the man buddy! I hope you get your car fixed for Saturday! you really pancaked the side of your car last week! good luck bud on the rest of your season, you are a true competitor and a great guy at the race track!
-
;D thanks kahnefreak but unless i find an engine it may be a while before the bionic turtle sees action again
-
why charger? i thought you only broke a motor mount and not the motor
-
:-[ the motor mount is a cast into the front of the block and the casting is broken so motor no good no more :'(
-
awwwww, that sux dude. i hope you can find another one real soon
-
Oh Jim What is wrong with you Man''Get some Coat Hangers and Duct Tape and Fix The Darn Car,I missed seeing the Turtle out there!!'' Its fun to Watch others Play with the turtle!!,,I even Stopped one Day on Hyway 7 To help a turtle out Once to Get to The other Side and When I got Into my truck The Dam Turtle Started Back across at Where I Started to Help the Little Guy out So I picked up the Turtle and Tossed The Little Guy Into The water so He wouldn't get Hurt or Run over By The Big trucks So there you have it a Bed Time Story ''LOL ''courtesy Of'' Uncle Gary ''
-
Scooter leave the turtle alone, don't pick on him he is a really nice guy.
-
Oh I know He is a Nice Guy''Thats why I told the Story''so Why Are you PICKING on me Now for I did Not Do any Thing!!!...
-
aaaah...scooter most turtles can't swim just kidding. charger just a thought fro an old mech.is there enough meat on the block to tap some 3/8" holes and maybe bolt a mounting plate to the block and rig up a removable mount. similar to what dodge did on the 2.6l k cars. would the tech people allow that? or is the damage more than just a ripped mount. just a thought. ps you can weld cast but than can cost sometimes.
-
??? as soon as i have good look with the motor out i will be able to tell. but i have a feeling ill be into a new motor >:(
-
don't worry charger, you'll have a new motor in there in no time!
-
??? glad every one has so much faith in my abilitys lol/ i have enough people looking for one i am bound to have one soon ;D
-
Hey Charger, I am going to look for a stuffed turtle for your car, unless you already have one.
-
i think you should get Charger a stuffed Franklin!!!! lol...FRanklin is so cool
-
Well after last nites racing, I would like to predict that the championship may very well go to the #55 of Shawn Monette.
-
:P no yorkie you are th only one who thought of getting the
thing a stuffed turtle. i could always use just a little l/side weight
any ways
-
Getting back to the original topic! How are your predictions doin É I called Walters to win the LLM title, but did say Baker would give him all he could handle so I give myself a 50 percent on that one!! LOL I thought Shepherd might hit the top 3 this year but he hasnt quite taken that next step yet but did get a thrilling win in June, and I see even better things for his point run next season !! I also mentioned Al Inglis as a possible top 5 contender at seasons end, and over the last month hes really stepped it up as well, and is sitting 7th or 8th in the points. In Thunders I said St.Onge had to be the fav goin into the season and also mentioned Davey, Tremblay, and Callow being strong!! Callow didnt race, so cancel that one and I still would of went with St.Onge, so I guess I have to stick to that one until seasons end!! I am really looking forward to the St Onge, Doucette, and Davey battle over the closing weeks and to be honest forgot all about Dave being in the Thunder picture before the season!! Nothin personal just a major oversight on my part!!!LOL Did call Brad Holden for my darkhorse and hes sittin 6th in the points as of this so I want some props on that one!!LOL In Pure Stocks I thought it was the Battle of the Brandons for the points title, and to be honest I would of went with Watson anyways, but Crumbie has had a really good season and is due to win a feature!! I did say the Burrows boys would be right in the mix as well as Gipper so I think I covered the basics in that division!!LOL These picks were made before I knew the Charger division was in place for 07 so thats why I didnt pick anyone there!! And also of note this was also before I knew guys like Mcleod, McWhirter, and Slaughter Jr were driving at Barrie this year or some of those names would of played a factor in my pics as well!!! Over all I give myself about a B or 70 percent accuracy grading!!!!!LOL And Im accepting all challenges for thee upcoming ATTO 300, as I fared better than anyone the last time the NCTS boys came to town!!!LOL Maybe we should get a insider pool goin É
-
Weel, Slaughter won;t be racing nemore aparently and as for the Atto 300, I can;t bet against Donny, although DJ is pretty stout at barrie...
-
You can pick them Dave... Good for you man. We'll do this again in the upcoming months for the '08 season. I have high hopes for the #6 and #38 Thunder team in the '08 season... It should be interesting to say the least.
-
Could be a little premature for me there Kev, But hey thanks for the vote of confidence...lol
-
come on old gummer!!! You'd be a great pick to be up there in the points battle in 08' don't sell yourself short! geez.....lol....hey fix my car!..
-
i said Baker for LLM, St Onge for Thunders, Crumbie for "A" division and Crumbie or Monette for chargers!! well i'm 3/4 right! lol
-
Ok Kahnefreak, pick one for the chargers, if you are picking predictions you can't have a toss up between two, you have to pick one so we can see if you are right.
-
Well Steve might come back this week....everyone keep on telling him to come back...PEER PRESSURE WORKS! lol
-
of course I will be back next week! or are you talking about Slaughter???lol
-
You are the Steve with two "e"'s Steeve. I know it's all very confusing... LOL! Quite a bit of chaos this week... Maybe I'll go camping instead of racing. Nahhhh why miss all the action at the "Greatest Show on Earth". LOL!
-
hmmmm well i will be out there in tia's car this saturday for the last time. my car is almost done but there isn't going to be any time to switch everything over in time so we'll have to do that next week!!! anybody who wants to help would be appreciated by us!
