JR Fitzpatrick Welcomes Auto Parts Centres as Primary Sponsor
AYR, Ont. (January 12, 2016) – Fitzpatrick Motorsports is proud to announce Auto Parts Centres (APC) as the primary sponsor for JR Fitzpatrick’s No.84 Outlaw Super Late Model for the team’s complete 14-race schedule in 2016.
Fitzpatrick will compete in both the OSCAAR Super Late Model and Avenue Auto Parts Sunset Speedway Super Late Model series’ this season.
“As the company grows, we want to have a presence at all the major races and all the tracks across Ontario and JR was a natural fit,” said Luke Ramsay of APC.
“He always represents his sponsors well and his car is always clean. From our stand point, it was a no-brainer to be involved with JR.”
“Luke and I have talked a lot. He wanted to work with a winning team in Super Late Models and we were happy to partner with a professional automotive company in APC,“ said driver JR Fitzpatrick.
Fitzpatrick, who became the youngest Canadian national stock car champion when he won the 2006 CASCAR Super Series championship at 18 years old, has his sights set on his first Super Late Model championship after finishing as the OSCAAR runner-up for the 2015 season.
“He helps build the APC brand. It shows that we’re trying to build our presence in short track racing and that we’re not just focused in one area,” said Ramsay. “We know he’s going to run at the front and we want to help him win a championship.”
Fitzpatrick believes the support from Ramsay and his APC team will give the No.84 team the advantage they need to win a pair of championships in 2016.
“It gives us a lot of confidence as a team to know there is a corporate sponsor that believes we are winners who are capable of promoting their brand effectively and professionally,” said Fitzpatrick.
JR Fitzpatrick’s first race of the 2016 season is scheduled for May 21 when he takes his No.84 Auto Parts Centres Super Late Model to Flamboro Speedway for the OSCAAR season opener.
