Well with 2 NCATS races, 2 OSS,plus tq's for 2 races and on top of that the higher home series feature and points payouts, hope they got some good sponsors.

WOW!!! This news is shocking to me really and can be looked upon by nothin plainer than Barrie's new owners dropping the ball BIG TIME!!! The Supers are one of my fav series to watch and I know many people in the Barrie area feel the same!! If you look at the history of many of the guys in OSCAAR you'd fine many have connections to the Oro bull ring, and with many former track champs now running OSCAAR to me this created a huge local fan interest. Now new this year we have the two OSS races but more of those drivers have roots in the London area more so than Simcoe County!!! In fact the only what I'd call real local racer that competes in OSS is Lethbridge and I think while Ron is popular in the area but as compared to having a field in OSCAAR that includes The Watson's, Ian Bourque, and many other racers that are better known in the Barrie area thus creating a greater turnout!!! I know I'll be taking in the two races at Sunset as compared to going to my hometrack(Barrie) those weeks so what does that tell you?? And I know we all have different opinions to what works and what doesnt in regards to racing in the area but this move to me will turn out to be a blunder of epic proportions in the fan count at Barrie on these weeks!!!

funny you should mention lethbridge as his stuff is all up for sale, so his appearance at barrie or any other track for that matter, this year is questionable

I do think over the last couple years that Lethbridge had a move to NCTS in mind so maybe that is his intentions for 08 as well?? But thats just my best guess!! But you do get my point when it comes to creating hype, outside of maybe Robblee theres not alot of guys that are well known name racers competing in the OSS in my opinion.

oh beleive me i know

i looked at their list of drivers for 08 and recognized robblee and tawes, and then dave baker and cole weber because i went to flamboro a couple times last year

oh...and kenny forth

outside of those 5 there are no recognizable names whatsoever
