#29 Tia Dale for sportwoman of the year at Barrie Speedway

Tia Dale is sportman of the year for 2007...that's in my books...she is one of the nicest racers at Barrie Speedway. What does everyone think? Should Tia win sportman of the year? She lent her old car to #38 Steeve Melson because Steeve wrecked his. Steeve is 4th in the points and Tia is in 5th. Without Tia's car Steeve would have been passed by Tia in the points. Now that's what I call a true sportman/woman. Give us your opinions

Yes for sure Tia rocks. Some people at BSW are about the competition, and helping your friends with their racing program when it hits a bump. Tia is one of these people and she stepped up to the plate when it was needed for sure.

 Tia is a super gal,and loves competing every saturday night,at Barrie Speedway, its a great place to be most of the time.There are a lot of good people in the 4cyl division, the smart ones know that racing is not life or death or broken bones, it gets overlooked by the track as they are busy putting fires out with the late model pansies every saturday night.We come out with our thunder car to have fun every week, we have won 1 feature in 3 years we are not going to Daytona but we try our best and we respect those who respect us.

 Tia for sportman/woman of the year I think would be your preverbial no brainer!!! That girl is total class!!!!! And a very good jesture to lend Melson the car I agree!!! Hope her injury heals up nicely and were all cheering her on this weekend!!!

Yeah Tia is suppose to be out this weekend racing again! Hurt or not it's a racers best medicine to get back out there and drive it hard! You know if she doesn't get that award that will be ridiculous! As for Crewman of the year it definately is Dave Melson. He helps with the 55,56,38,17,117 and has given a few pointers to other 4 cylinder drivers. He also works on the 48 thunder and 48 LLM and spots for Baker. I tell you he's a busy man when it comes to the track. I see how hard he works at the track on many cars cause I am his son! 3 cheers for the ole gummer...lol.....Can't wait till he has his new generation thundercar all ready for next year

What body style is your Dad running Steeve??? And idea on # choice yet?? And old gummer??? I'd be backing the trolley truck up on that one if I were you, as I believe he had a top 10 or two last year in the A division!!! Did you accomplish that??LOL And I'm just havin fun with you as well man, I know your a damned good little driver yourself and always drive clean and your attitude has totally changed from last season!! Kudos to you for racing where you have fun and your humour is making it fun for all in the Charger class from what I see!!! All the best for the rest of the year!!!! Dave Vokey!!

Dave Melson has helped me out with my Thunder car too. Dave is a great guy and very knowledgeable, he's been racing since 1979. I'm pretty sure he will be the #38 same as he always has been (except for a few years in Challenger he was #13). One of my favorite people at the track...
