It'd be nice to see them go to a late model spec in line with Flamboro and Delaware, just so things like this wouldn't be half LM/half LLM fields like its looking like now...

Nice time of the year to spend a day at the beach and then go to a race . I just wonder what time the green falls to start the 100 since i would have to work the next morning and would have a 2 hour drive back to the Big Smoke .

We spent a day on the beach last year. I got burnt a bit it was so hot, but I love the beach there. That night at the track it really cooled off and I was freezing and had my winter coat on it changed so much. But it was a great day. Lots of great spots to fish and other sights to see not far in Southampton and Port Elgin before the races if you dont do the beach.

I was at Sauble on the May 24 last year. It was COLD sitting on those concrete stands but the racing was excellent. It would be pretty awesome to check out a long weekend show when it's warm. Sauble rocks in the summer.

I wonder why they don't start the racing earlier on Sundays.  I guess they don't want to start while beach time is still on, but I would think that they could start at like 5 or so instead of 7.  The CanAm midgets will be there 3 times for Saturday to Sunday double headers.  That will be a long couple of days, especially throwing a 3 hour drive home after the Sunday show.  I've already told my dad that I will haul the car home those nights, and he can sleep in the van. haha.

I've been going to Sauble for over 10 years, and I can't ever remember a Sunday show starting earlier. The closest thing would have been a few years ago when the ALSTAR race was rained out two days in a row, so they ran it Monday afternoon.

Edit: Although I have never heard anything about it, the golf course directly behind the speedway could have an influence on the start times. The first and second turns are within 40 feet of a fairway.
