Good point.. who didn't see Nascar buying fancy wine for the GrandAm group.
Its a shame that Nascar is the only racing series that is currently still growing.
The bad thing is when Nascar discovers they own just about everything and start pushing the delete button on series that they consider unworhty, i.e. ALLPRO.

Mr. France had the visson to create the Worlds Strongest STOCK CAR SERIES, but Boy Junior wants it all. Lets all hope it doesn't come at a price to Racers and Fans alike.

NASCAR Holdings Announces Plan to Acquire Grand-Am

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 4, 2008) – NASCAR Holdings today announced an agreement to acquire the Grand-American Road Racing Association (Grand-Am). The future move will allow for resource sharing between Grand-Am and NASCAR while both organizations continue to operate independently. NASCAR Holdings is the legal operating entity that includes the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) and many of its subsidiaries.

Grand-Am, one of the world’s most competitive road racing organizations, and NASCAR, the No. 1 spectator sport in the U.S., will combine marketing and communications efforts to include brand management, research, marketing and public relations.
