The Brake Man Comes on Board to Support JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour

Salem, IN (May 6, 2011) – Champion Racing Association officials have announced that The Brake Man has agreed to become the latest company to support the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by GM Performance Parts for the 2011 season. The Brake Man will award the third, seventh and fourteenth place finishers at each JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by GM Performance Parts event with a $50 Product Certificate off the purchase of $100 or more.

In addition The Brake Man will award the third, seventh and fourteenth place finishers in final 2011 series points and the 2011 Howie Lettow Rookie of the Year Presented by Howe Racing with $100 Product Certificates off the purchase of $200 or more. Also, The Brake Man will award by random draw of the top fifteen finishers in final series points the choice of a certificate for a set of brake pads and a case of brake fluid or a certificate for 50% off a complete set of The Brake Man brakes.

Although The Brake Man was founded in 1993 in Camarillo, California, there is no company with more in-depth experience and practical application of brake design anywhere.  Warren Gilliland, the President, began his career in the brake industry back in 1967 when he joined Airheart Products Inc., then the undisputed industry leader in high performance brake systems. Today, The Brake Man, supplies only the best brake related components available, through a first class dealer network to the end consumer.

Asphalt / Pavement road and oval track racing place higher demands on brake components than any other form of motorsports. Higher temperatures and longer duration events mean the benefits of a properly designed system are greatly magnified. The rigidity of the TornadoTM calipers by The Brake Man at extreme temperatures has been proven to be much higher than competitor's all-aluminum systems costing thousands of dollars more. By providing a firm and consistent pedal feel that does not change with temperature; lap times drop as the driver is able to focus on line and position without constantly adjusting the brakes or fighting pedal drop. Eliminating brake drag allows the car to rotate through the turns more efficiently and transition from corner to corner more smoothly.

The wide variety of pavement race vehicles and their needs are matched by their wide range of calipers, pad compounds, and rotor types; ensuring the racer has a system ideal for their specific application. The Brake Man calipers and components are proven winners in many disciplines of road and oval track racing. Things such as piston size, pad compound, and rotor size can all be specified to provide the maximum potential in brake torque output and driver feel.
