It was No Spa Weekend for
TEAMCMS Driver Ambassador Nelson Mason

A tough weekend at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium for Nelson Mason and the Teo Martin World Series Formula V8 team ended with an eight place finish Saturday in Race 2 after starting in tenth position.

“Race 1 we tried low downforce and the pace wasn’t there to fight at the front as hard as I tried, and in Race 2 the team did a great pit stop and we pushed but in the end we started too far back to make up ground”. Nelson Mason

The team and drivers struggled all weekend to find a setup which worked in the changing and challenging conditions.  After leaving the previous race in Silverstone with fastest race lap, Nelson and the team now have its work cut out for it heading to the next round in Monza Italy next weekend.

“Spa has definitely been a trying weekend. We had great pace in the wet but as the circuit dried over the weekend, our pace didn’t transpire. We leave Belgium with points, and that is the main thing.  We go to Monza with our heads up and look forward to a better weekend” said Nelson.

Follow along next weekend and watch both races live on the WorldSeries YouTube channel.
Race 1 Saturday and Race 2 Sunday.
