Novotny and Delaware

More like speculation really but with the rumored turbulance at Delaware how far of a reach would it be to say that Novotny will buy it back with all his new found 'resources' ie: all that cash from NASCAR. That should get the pot stirred! :shock: :twisted:

Can't say for certain on the NCTS. They have a couple days open on the Labour Day weekend......Everyone seems to think it's a no go.

I was told by a prominent track official that NCTS to this point has not contacted Delaware in any way shape or form. Actually they haven't contacted ANYone. They (Delaware) are still open to it, but aren't going to jump through hoops to get NASCAR on board.
But, with the so-called shakeups at Delaware, maybe that'll change.
I'll have to have a good long think about whether I'd want to see Tony back. Delaware's spent three years sorta trying to undo some of the bad feelings left over from the Novotny era. (not that Tony wasn't good for the track...he was, but he was the type of promoter that had policies that ticked a lot of regular Friday night guys off.)
Course, maybe if he was willing to operate the track where the track itself was the number one priority, without treating the friday night show as a feeder league for something else...maybe that wouldn't be so bad.
Either way, its an interesting debate, but I kinda doubt it'll happen.
