Just pointing out that 240 racer stated that he didnt want to spend $5000 on a 4 banger to go racing he thought that was too much as per your post he could be spending that much to race 2 divisions up?

It was my intention to point out that the car in question that is being referred to by the poster I am replying to could spend as much as a latemodel racer would if it was required to win. So if he is not prepared to blow the budget be happy running where he is running.
In no way was I intending to suggest that one could competitively run a season in the latemodel division for $5000. Sorry if that wasnt  clear.

wonder if the 79 car will have weight added this week? or if not im sure she will win again.
it has been said that she was holding hands with doug butler so maybe he helped set up her car?
interesting to know because of what is under the 10 car it makes me wonder if her car might be the same?
maybe thats why its so quick

Exactly....

How does a stock mustang beat a stock civic?  it doesn't.....even with kyle busch driving the stang.

How does a stock sohc 16 valve beat a 240?  doesn't either

Who is teching?  If its Zinke he knows better for sure,  so who is overturning tech then?  is the race director playing favorites or what?   :o

Doesn't take a brain surgeon to see sunset 4 banger division is waaaay mis-managed.....great drivers for sure, but doomed to be pissed off and broke because sunsets new regime doesn't seem to care about 4 bangers, maybe they aren't nascar enough for them.

the new track is awesome for v8 racing, a killer for the 4cylinder division because the fast guys go around the outside with no challenge, used to be the outside line wasn't as good so the fast guys had to work for it more often......i guess if 2 divisions are better because of the paving its worth it but 4 bangers will be better to watch at barrie eventually if not already cause obviously sunset doesn't care about them now

I think that a weight rule based on engine displacement is the only way to go!!!! ie;1.15 lb/ cc?? Bigger motor= heavier car= closer fields!!!!

I totally agree with that idea 04racing. But see that would be to smart and easy for tech to do. And as far as Nicole and Doug holding hands, that might be due to the fact that they are dating. I personally think 5000 dollars on a 4 cyl. is way to much to spend on an entry level class. I also agree with 2fst4u, 79's newest set up that makes her pull out of the corner faster than a nissan is her brothers outlaw motor. I dont know if its cheating or not, I dont really care, but if Doug is getting weight for having a fast car (that hasnt won majority of the race) then 79 should have weight added, cuz shes obviously going faster than the Nissans. Thats my opinion. But I doubt tech will do anything.
