River Glade, NB, June 2, 2012) Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell, PE) drove to the front early in the Lucas Oil 100 at Petty International Raceway on Saturday night and held off all comers on multiple late race restarts to take the win in Round Two of the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour. Hicken, in his #5 Castle Building Centres Chevrolet Impala, held off a hard charging George Koszkulics (New Glasgow, NS), who was subbing for Donald Chisholm in the #89 Nova Construction/Pioneer Coal Ford Fusion, to take the victory. Darren MacKinnon (Charlottetown, PE) came home in third place, followed by Jerome Kehoe (Sydney, NS) and pole sitter Kent Vincent (Crapaud, PE), who led the first 26 laps of the race before handing the lead over to Hicken.

Vincent (Crapaud, PE) started the day in 18th spot during the first practice session of the day, but the team worked the car hard and eventually came out on top of the Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials. The #8 Vector Aerospace Dodge Charger had the fastest lap of the day when he flew around the track in just 13.674 seconds. After a re-draw of the fastest 8 cars and a 10 lap shootout, it was Mike Stevens who took home the Fast Eddie Dash For Cash Award. Dartmouth Dodge Heat Races set the balance of the starting grid for the Lucas Oil 100, and they were picked up by Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) and Koszkulics. Hicken pocketed the Linde Most Laps Led Award by leading the final 74 laps of the race and also came home with the King Freight Lines Halfway Award by leading Lap 50 of the event. Kehoe picked up nine positions from his 13th starting spot to become the Absolute Traffic Services Hard Charger of the evening. For the second consecutive race, Frankie Fraser (Shubenacadie, NS) was the highest finishing Exide Batteries Rookie of the Year contender in the event of the six who took the green flag, finishing tenth.
