An exciting Saturday with Circuit Pro Tour event at Cornwall Motor Speedway! Lavallée remains perfect!
Cornwall, Ont – Saturday, January 31, 2015 – Martin Bélanger – The Circuit Pro Tour was back in action for day 2 at Cornwall Motor Speedway, a busy day on the speedway with 18 different categories in action.
The 8-lap Pro Formula 500 saw Cole McMichael take the lead over Steven Marquis with Ryan Florent in third. Florent charged back to take second over Marquis with McMichael alone in front. He dominated the event winning race as he also won the heat race.
In the combo, Steven Marquis has an excellent start and never was challenged in the 5-lap event running laps under the 15-second mark. Sabrina Blanchet took second.
In the 5-lap Semi Pro Champ, Steven Marquis grabs the lead and did not receive any challenge with a second event during the day.
A total of 10 competitors in the Semi-Pro Formula 500, an accident occurred in the first lap. Cole McMichael coasted to a rather easy win in the 5-lap feature.
Tim Hibbard continued his dominance in the Outlaw division winning a second feature event in the weekend.
Troy Dodds continued his great success in the Vintage division has got the win in the Vintage 440.
Shawn Ford continued to show his great talent in the Moto division, winning his second event of the weekend.
In the ATV 0-450, Mathieu Daigle led the way in the 8-lap event. Daigle won the feature as good battles occurred behind him.
Doug Zadow won the Single Cylinder Master Division 4-lap feature.
A nice end to the Single Cylinder Modified as Doug Zadow was able to resists to a few charges from other competitors behind him.
Danick Lambert dominated the 5-lap Junior 340 13-16 event while Alex Oberparleiter took the Junior 340 (10-13).
A busy 4-lap feature in the single cylinder with Paul Mailloux leading the field of 9 sleds on the speedway, Mailloux won the race as he also captured the heat race.
In the Sport Formula 500, Doug Burton got the win in the 5-lap feature.
A very entertaining 8-lap ATV feature as Yves Samson took the early lead with Mathieu Daigle following him closely, both drivers had a close race with Samson taking the win.
The final day of racing will be held tomorrow with the same group of competitor, action will start at 11am with the first round of qualifying events.
