Flowmetrix and Mark Heating and Cooling present Fan Appreciation night this Saturday

BRIGHTON - Another full card of racing is set for Brighton Speedway this Saturday as Flowmetrix and Mark Heating and Cooling present Fan Appreciation night. Four weekly stock car divisions are set to fire engines this weekend. The Gord's Water Vantastics will make their final appearance of the season. The Canadian Modified mechanic's race will take place at the end of the night. The Brighton Speedway Kart Klub will also be on hand for a special Kart Klub demonstration. The 2014 edition of the Caley Weese Racing fight against bullying will also take place.

Vanderlaan Building Products Pro Late Models

The Pro Late Models enjoyed a weekend off from points racing two weeks ago, but that didn't stop a handful of drivers from competing. Seven drivers raced in the Dash for Cash on Saturday night, and Mark Rayner (No.55 Sam's Auto Repair) parked in victory lane for the first time this season. On Sunday, six drivers travelled north to Kawartha Speedway to try the asphalt. Brandon Mowat (No.46 Target Fabrication Inc.) walked away the victor. Charlie Sandercock (No.57 Bellevue Fabricating) continues to grow his lead at the top of the championship standings. Sandercock leads Steve Baldwin (No.5 cigarchief.com) by 185 points. Phil Potts (No.29 Vanderlaan), Matt Vanderlinden (No.09 Integra Racing Shocks), and Adam Turner (No.92 Village Variety and Gas Bar) complete the top five.

OilGARD Anti-Rust Canadian Modifieds

The points race has gotten a whole lot tighter in the Canadian Modified championship standings. Through 12 races, Dan Ferguson (No.11 Kilmarnock Enterprise) and Ryan Scott (No.33 J&J Automotive) are knotted atop the standings at 2270 points apiece. After his win last week, Andrew Hennessy (No.87 Custom Automotive) now sits 100 points back of the lead. Doug O'Blenis (No.32 John's Car Care) and Adam Whaley (No.12 John's Equipment) round out the top five in the standings.

Brighton Automotive Pro Stocks

The Brighton Automotive Pro Stocks saw Justin Ramsay (No.03 Empey Tire) earn his fifth win of the season last week, tying point leader Doug Anderson (No.72 Hunt's Bobcat Service) for most wins. Anderson leads Leslie Mowat (No.2 Cormier's Auto Recycling) for first in the standings. Ramsay sits third ahead of Wade Purchase (No.53 Paul Turner Auto Repair) and Jamie Marshall (No.55 C&L Upholstery). Drivers will be hungry to earn the victory this week in the second round of the Duel in the Dirt Challenge Series with Merrittville Speedway.

Bill's Johns Comp 4s

Jeff Humphrey (No.17 Kleinsteuber Metal) drove an impressive race to earn his first win of the year last race. Rich Sanders (No.29 Fowl Mood Racing) maintains the championship lead with a 135-point lead over Brady Greer (No.94 Greer Excavating). Shelby Mills (No.78 ABC Taxi) currently sits third ahead of Brady Greer (No.47 Clark's Automotive) and Emily Weedman (No.87 Nate's Auto Cosmedix).

Brighton Speedway Kart Klub Exhibition

The young stars of the Brighton Speedway Kart Klub will get their night at centre stage. The drivers aged five to 14 race in four different divisions on the infield oval on Thursday nights. They will get their chance to shine in front of a full grandstand this Saturday. The fun might just be what the young racer in your family is looking to do next summer.

Caley Weese - NO BULL Anti-Bullying

The third annual Weese Racing Anti-Bullying night is finally here this weekend. The team has been selling $10 t-shirts like crazy in preparation for the event day and the crowd picture.
