Luke Gignac Carrying Momentum into Velocity 250 at Sunset
INNSFIL, Ontario — With a string of recent success for ADAMS Motorsports, Luke Gignac will head into the Velocity 250 weekend at Sunset Speedway with confidence on his side.
In the most recent OSCAAR Modified Series event, which took place at Sauble Speedway, the defending series champion picked up three four-finishes in the heat races including a victory, followed by a fifth-place finish in the feature. Notably, since getting back behind the wheel after a thumb injury in the season opener, Gignac has scored five consecutive top-six finishes, including a runner-up performance.
Now set for his third OSCAAR appearance at Sunset Speedway, he is one of the drivers that everybody will have their eye on after posting a runner-up finish in last year’s Velocity 250, along with showing speed before the wreck in the Spring Velocity.
It also worth noting that despite missing a couple races, Gignac sits ninth in the series standings with three races remaining.
