The Ultimate Pro-Stock Series comes to life for 2015!
After the end of the popular Mohawk Race Parts Pro-Stock Series at the end of 2014, a group of 3 tracks owners and several sponsors teamed up to create a new Pro-Stock Series called the The Ultimate Pro-Stock Series that will run at Autodrome Granby, RPM Speedway and Cornwall Motor Speedway during the summer 2015.
The calendar will be composed of 6 nights of racing that will start in less than 2 weeks at Cornwall Motor Speedway on Saturday, May 2nd, the series will then visit the province of Quebec for 4 consecutive dates with stops at Autodrome Granby on Friday, June 5 and the following day at RPM. History will repeat at the start of July with Granby and RPM being visited on July 3rd and 4th with the series ending in Cornwall on Sunday, July 26th.
A new format of races will be launched for this series with drivers having to compete in two 25-lap feature events per night. The only exception will be at RPM Speedway on July 4th with the DIRTcar Pro-Stock Series being in town with a 50-lap feature event. In total, 11 features will be run on 6 different nights. The regular point system will be in effect. On nights with two 25-lap feature, the inversion system will be used to place the drivers for the second event, all competitors that will have completed the 1st race on the lead lap will be counted in the inversion.
An interesting points fund will be offered to the top 10 in the series as a total of $2,700 will be divided amongst them. The champion will receive a nice $1,000, second will get $500, third $250, fourth $200, fifth will obtain $175 with drivers finishing from 6th to 10th receiving respectively $150, $125, $100, $100 and $100.
Several sponsors have jointed this series to build a very nice perfect attendance program. Nearly $3,500 in prize will be given to the drivers that will participate in all events of the series. A complete Pro-Stock body will be the most coveted prize with Lap Performance and Roy Racing Products joining forces for the prize worth $2,000. Promoters of Autodrome Granby, RPM and Cornwall Speedway will offer a 2016 season pass each along with 1 Hoosier tire per speedway. Roy Racing Performance will give a front and back bumper along with being part of the Body sponsorship. Sherwood will give a Pro-Stock wheel. Ontario resident driver Rock Aubin will be the sponsor of the ‘’hard-luck award” with $100 bonus given every night to the driver having a bad night.
A really nice series offering a new concept with 2 features race in one night with driver inversion to add to the show along with some nice purses and great incentives for the drivers to participate in the series.
