100 lap late model race $4000. to win

THIS WILL BE THE BIGGEST STOCK CAR EVENT THIS AREA HAS SEEN IN A LONG TIME, MAKE SURE YOU MARK IT ON YOUR CALENDAR.

Practice order----Late Model (11:50-12:00), Thunder Cars (12:00-12:10), Mini Stock (12:10-12:20), Legends (12:20-12:30), Late Model (12:30-12:40)

1:00 PM ---- Drivers meeting

1:15 PM - 1:55PM  ---- Late Model Qualifying (by draw)

2:00 PM ---- Racing Begins

4 FF Heat -- 8 laps
Mini Stock Heat # 1 -- 8 laps
Thunder Cars Heat # 1 -- 10 laps
Legends Heat #1 -- 8 laps

Late Models Dash Top 8 cars -- 5 laps

Mini Stock Heat # 2 -- 8 laps

Late Model General info for Sept 9th:

Ottawa,Barrie,Sunset, Small crate (cast head) 2800lbs 4bbl
Built engines 2850lbs 4bbl
Kawartha Small crate (aluminum head) 2900lbs 4bbl
Flamboro,Delaware Big crate (400hp) 2950lbs 4bbl
Castrol series As per rule book 2850lbs 2bbl
A.C.T. As per rule book 2850lbs 2bbl
Cascar sportsman 3000lbs 2bbl

All cars to be weight with drivers in no substitute with a Maximum 56% left

All cars will be on the Goodyear 8 inch slick with 8 inch rims. With a Maximum of 6 tires for qualifying and race.

1…Qualifying will be as per the number you drew and  is posted on the board. If you miss your spot in qualifying  you will start the feature last.

Qualifying is from 1:15 to 1:55
You will get green,white, checkered when qualifying.
 Go off the track at the checkered exiting at corner 1.

2…ALL cars must go DIRECTLY to tech inspection after time trials.

3…The tires you qualify on are the tires you race on.

4…The top 8 qualified cars will run a 5 lap Dash.

5…The top 12 cars by qualifying are guaranteed starters in the top 12 positions depending on the inversion.
The remainder of the field will qualify in the qualifying heats. Heats will be lined up by odd qualified cars in the first heat even in the second and lined up in reverse order of qualifying times ie: #1 qualifier starts last in heat 1.

6…The 12 qualified drivers will open an envelope at driver introductions. A number from 1 to 12 will be in the envelopes to indicate the actual starting position of each driver.

7…Caution laps count up to last 5 laps.

8…If an extended caution period develops scorers will stop counting at 8 laps and resume counting at restart.

9…Restarts double file after 1st, 2nd and 3rd  lapped cars will restart where they run in the remainder of the field ie: if there is a lapped car in 2nd it will restart 4th.

10…Any cars having to stop as the result of an accident are considered to be accident cars.

11…Under caution - slow down as quickly and as safely as possible and maintain position in single file until given the signal to double up.

12…Cars leaking fluids pull to the inside of the track as quickly and safely as possible.

13…Only 1 tire may be changed on caution laps unless more than 1 tire is flat.

14…The pace car will run at 30km's during cautions. Wait for the pace truck and exit at corner 1 (to be explained further at the drivers meeting).

15…The last 5 laps must be run under green flag (not necessarily consecutive laps).

16…Pit boxes may be placed in pit lane from the drag strip to the end of corner 2 for the 100 lap race (to be explained further at the drivers meeting).

17…Cars and crews to be on track for driver introductions.

18…NO CREW members on track during caution or red flag conditions.

19…NO SMOKING on pit road - NO short pants or bare shoulders.

20…Max of 5 crew members to service car on pit stop.

21…Top 5 position finishers to tech inspection after the race…NO crew member to work on the car or open the hood during post race on track presentations.

22…All cars must have scorers.
22…The scorers meeting is at the base of the tower at 1:00PM

23…There will be a 10 minute mandatory pit stop at the end of lap 49. You may fuel and change 2 tires at this time.

24…Please remember this is 100 lap race so take it easy!

No Gear Rules.
- Suggested Gear:

Série ADL-Tobacco 1999 – Gear Rules was Max. 5,90 with Jobbers Enginefor Late-Model Sportsmen (LMS)
CASCAR-Sportsmen 2000-2003 – Recommended between 5,72 and 6,20 (6,00-6,14)
CCS Late-Model 2006 – CRATE ENGINE Recommended between 4,89 and 5,42 (5,14-5,32)

You could start with CCS regulars, means about 12-15 Late-Models.

Depend on weather this Saturday Sept 2nd at Autodrome St-Eustache and rain date if needed.
- At least, 5-6 Quebecers announced their intent to be at CCS on Sept 9th, maybe more...

Also depend on weather this weekend at Thunder-Road (Barre, VT), about 4-5 LMS-ACT drivers announced their intent to be at CCS on Sept 9th.

After, could easily consider Late-Model from Kawartha, Sauble, Delaware, etc.

At least, could gauranted 20 Late-Model, and probably 24-28 if everything is OK!!!

Please, note.

Some change under race procedure.

Race will be 100 laps under green flags. Only One Segment (No Stop at half-race).
