G-force back and neck injuries
« on: June 20, 2013, 10:58:54 PM »
I was in the passenger of a thunderstock for 55 laps and after my neck and later my back hurt not real bad I just kind of feels stiff why did this happen is t because I didn't have a headrest? Do you feel more G-force in the passenger seat because it certainly felt like it.

If you've never drove a race car before, your body is not adapted to the specific strains of being in a race car. It takes time for the muscles to adapt. Also, without a headrest, you were probably trying to hold your head up, hence the neck. Even not having the right seat is a factor.

I guess its because I was in  the passenger seat I guess is was trying to hold my head in place but I've never had this problem last year or when I was driving. I'm sure ill get used to it eventually.
