I am sure that most here know about Jack Roushs gong show try outs for a ride . Pete Shepperd got his NASCAR ride through them and I like the idea .

I have been to five Ontario tracks so far this year and seen allot of promising kids but a few have stood out . For the sake of this discussion the drivers should be under 25 and never had a ride above Thunder cars but who you think could make the step into a LM or LLM and win or run up front in a short period of time if they were in decent equipment.  Pick Two young drivers preferably not your son daughter or nephew that you think could step up and make it .

My two picks would be Corey Moesker and Brandon Crumbie . I don't know either of these kids but Moesker is just a flat out natural talent that people seem to have a high opinion of on and off the track and Crumbie seems to know at a young age that you cant drive a 3rd place car into first without becoming a "showstopper"

Lets keep this positive and if you disagree with my picks or anyone else's keep it to yourself and just say why you think the two drivers you nominate would be good in a LM or LLM .

Brandon Watson always amazes me when he comes to Kawartha and when I'm at Barrie. Shannon Kimerly shows alot of promise at Kawartha and Mosport, it wouldn't suprise me if she ends up in a LLM soon and it will be good equipment so we'll see.

I know she doesn't fit the criteria, but Asley Taws drove a heck of a race in the 2nd OSS 50 lapper in Sauble Saturday night. She finished 2nd and was running lap times similar to winner M. Hryniuk and S. Robblee.

I vote for Corey Moesker like said above he is a natural.  Corey is a winner on and off the track.  Corey has the talend in the racecar and out of his racecar.  Corey promotes his sponsers very well, and promotes the JCAR series and Grand Bend series above and beyond the call of duty.  I think if given the chance to hop into a bigger racecar Corey will prove to be a valuable asset to any race team. Don't have a second pick.

If anyone was at Grand Bend this weekend, the young man that STOOD OUT amongst all the racers was #28 Jordan Lawrence. While watching this young man in his heat race, you kind of forget he is only 12 years old!To top off a great heat race,he came back to win the feature. In a great battle with his brother Chris Lawrence and the #39 (also a pretty good runner, but don't know his name).
I know their DAD is up there smiling!! :)
Great job! to both of you young men.

yeah I'd nominate Jordan Lawrence, he is an awesome race car driver, he is a very clean driver and a very good one, he passes everyone clean.
Another person I'd nominate would be Stephen Richmond. he is also a very clean driver and exceptionally good driver. he has had a good season so far in the super stocks at Delaware so far and he is only going get better.

I'd second Jo Lawrence for the contest...and I'm not just saying that becuase I know him. Listen, I watched him a couple weeks ago running Jrs at Delaware, and he struck me as being a pretty cool customer when it comes to passing and such. Most 12 yr olds wouldn't be as calculating as he seemed to be.

And I'm pretty sure Stephen Richmond would make a great poster boy for some lucky sponsor. He's kinda got that Carl Edwards 'aw shucks" look down pat! And he's not too shabby behind the wheel either.

I would have picked this kid because of his "id put him in the wall" attitude but I don't think he is Canadian .

Finally a possitive post!!! I've seen alot of younger drivers up and coming and I agree with most of the picks so far!!  @ Kawartha I've seen 3 that have really caught my eye,  Shannon Kimmerly, Chance Isherwood and I know you say Thunders are out and I'm not sure of the age but Willie Ryens has done a great job this season.  Last Friday Chance Isherwood came from a 15th starting position to win his second feature of the season in very clean fashion in the #35 four banger, he passed Kimmerly in the last corner in a car that is obviously "out handling" the competition Kimmerly can pull him a car and a half down the shoot!! One of the best races I have seen in a long time!!

my two picks would be two people I have had the pleasure to have raced against. corey Moesker which i picked because he is a natural when it comes to racing and he is also a class act off the track. My other pick would be Katlynn Freel who races a Junior late Model . i picked her because it doesn't seem to matter what she is put in or what the vechile capabilities re she seems to be able to take the vechile to the front.
