how many cars have you guaranteed (the promoters) will show up at each race? This may be the key to the success of the series as an independent venture.

The OSS is a vital link to the future of racing in Canada as it will support the teams that have equipment but not the funds it is going to take to run in the Nascar CTS. Don't be surprised to see greater car counts in the OSS then any other series, including the CTS. I have talked with several racers who were standing on the fence wondering which way and in what direction to go in, and the answer to most of them is the OSS. I for one support it and encourage anyone that has a car to take part in this new-but old- series. Dollar for dollar this new series will come out of the gate paying more purse money per lap then most series. It will also give the fans a chance to see wide open flat out door to door racing and its my speculation that the track owners, come this time next year, will be lining up for dates. There is a great chance that the series will grow to 12 events by next year which will be based on the OSS teams decisions to grow. We will 100% be adding at least one car to the series car count and look forward to others jumping on board.

The real answer at the end of the season.

Will have an idea at the first event.

But, easy to understand...

- If 20 rosters announced, means 2/3 will race (12-13) on regular base, and you could consider about 15-16 racecars at each event.

- If you have 30 rosters - 2/3 (18-20) on regular base and field with about 20-22 racecars.

This, for the first season.

Hey Dave  @ racesportz.... NASCAR got rid of the mufflers at all of the tracks except Kawartha.
The OSS needs to follow suit and make them sound like race cars..
P.S. Give me a call. Dave

Most of the time it is the surrounding communities near the tracks that want the mufflers.
