I guess its time for me to chime in on this.... I thought I would start a new thread out of respect for Shawn Thompson, this has nothing to do with him.
However I have spent my weekend responding to a facebook post I made on Saturday morning. I update my weekly results and recap the nights events every week as I did this Saturday, I did not expect the volume of phone calls, text messages and private messages I received. Since the issue involved barry and jaxon and my only involvement was in aiding ending this fiasco i did not see fit to post about it on CRO. Since then Ken and Jodi Jacobs have posted a response on the Rocky's FB page and I thought i would share it with you.

" Rockys continues to stand by there drivers"
Gentleman,
It has been brought to our attention that we should address our actions at the track Friday night.
Jaxson Jacobs (Marc’s brother)was deliberately taken into the wall and as a result destroyed his car. (I have watched the video replay and this is the case)
After the race Jaxson went over to talk with this driver when the other drivers crew jumped him.
There was fisticuffs however it was broken up quickly. (Where the knives comment came from I’m not certain)
No further action by the track has been taken.
The FM 96 car was not involved however it gets pulled in as a Jacobs Racing Sponsor. Yes, Marc was there supporting his brother.
We apologize for that.
We truly believe every driver must be responsible for their actions on the track and a driver to driver conversation was warranted.
Unfortunately it turned out to be more than a conversation.
In the end, the other driver understands that his actions are accountable and that you cannot just run other competitors over, destroying equipment, without consequence!
We would hope, if you choose to respond, that it is in this tone;
You are fortunate to sponsor drivers that care about the sport of auto racing, and that show a passion for something they love to do.
This passion is lacking in so many kids these days as most are told to “tow the line” so to speak, and not make waves.
When you care about something so much, emotions are certain to rise to the top. They did, it was dealt with and is now behind us.
If our drivers drove like that on the track; then they need to be addressed by the other driver as well. It works both ways and we are good with that! That’s how racing at this level works.
We have always told our boys “you got to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything”.
We are proud of our boys for dealing with issues that concern them head on. They are strong and correct in doing so.
All the best,
Have a great week,
Ken and Jodi Jacobs

Jay Doerr I call BS on this for the record.... I would however like to see this video that shows Barry deliberately putting Jaxon in the wall. So many untruths I dont know where to start. No words were spoken before the attack that we witnessed. Just a full out assault. Marc was involved, he sucker punched Barry in the back of the head. Making excuses about passion for this sport when out and out violence was the outcome not passion. I have been racin for 20 years, been wrecked many many times and have never physically touched another driver or crew member.... Am I not passionate about the sport I love?? my passion for this sport is the reason I cannot let a team like yours continue to carry on in this way. Your track record in dealing with adversity speaks volumes for the future you have in this sport. My phone has rang off the hook this weekend with calls from other passionate racers, veterans and rookies alike. they all feel the same way I do. It horrifies me that you are proud of your "boys" actions. If this was my child Delaware would not need to suspend him, I would be parking him myself!!!!
What do y'all think bout that??
