Pinecrest those two D.Q.’S are common knowledge, plus Tim Brandons dad has dodged more tech bullets than Superman,They caught Brandon underweight last year after a warning but every one knows the tech shed at Barrie is carpeted and most things get swept under it.The reason the 4cyl tech guy got fired was that we wanted Workers Comp because his back was killing him because he was doing more sweeping than the clean up crew after the Showstopper had parked a dozen cars.

I just want to clarify, the underweight thing on brandons car....he had ot have 100 poiunds of lead and they weiged it in tech and his came out to like 96 pounds...it was no biggy...lol...i remember his pit guy taking it and saying no and weighing it himself, obviously pushing down on the weight...lol...it was funny...but it would be rediculous to get DQ'd over 4 pounds....

Why if the rule is 100 its a 100 not 96, that is one of the dumbest things l ever heard thats why the rule book at Barrie is hung up on a nail inside the washroom stalls to wipe your but on, oh l'm sorry my carb is illegal but the hole is only 3mm to big.

Tammy I am not sure anyone from Sunset should be commenting about Barrie since I am pretty the rule book there blew away with the tech tent .

Just to clarify the penatly weight for Brandons 4 cyl.   The lead was weighed at our race shop on our scales and was installed as requested. When the weight was weighed at the Barrie Tech Shed it was 1.5 lbs light. This was due to the difference in scales. After some discussion with Brad Moran it was agreed that the weight would be impounded, Tim would bring our scales to work and meet Brad at his shop on Tiffen St. in Barrie and Brad would reweigh the lead on our scales. At that time the weight came up a few onces light probably due to the holes drilled in the lead for mounting, and Brad allowed the weight .If anyone has any other questions just ask......And if anyone wants to buy the best 4 cylinder in Barrie just give me a call, Brandon won't be needing it much longer !

Lets get back to the topic at hand and young Watson!! To run that well at Kawartha speaks volumes of his ability!!! It is apparent to anyone who has watched him, that he indeed is a future star and could be the best racer the Barrie area has ever produced in time!!! This kid had been driving ko karts regularily since age 8 after all, and as I stated before anyone who has watched him at length can see that Brandon sure understands a racing line and how to make it work for him!! And as for the dumb comment someone made about Barrie cars bombing at other tracks take a look at the winner from Fall Colours the last 3 years in the LLM division!!! Let me recap 2006 McWhirter, 2005 Malcolm, 2004 Gaunt !!! All Barrie cars, and all still running at Barrie if you include McLeod in Gaunt's former ride!!!! So the claims that none of the top runners at Barrie have won anything in the past doesnt wash with me!!! Nuff said on that one!!!!
