When they say $1000 pure stock and charger, I take it thats the purse for the field and not to win?

Why so late to start the NCATS shows??? What time does it end at?

I can't see that being a show for kids as it would have to end late.

Does anyone know what the rules will be for the pure stock invitationals?  I assume you will need to conform to Barrie specs or will it be home track rules?

Sucks they are on Wednesday nights tho

Thanks for the headsup on the schedule, I noticed having a boo at it, there aren't any autograph nites on the schedule. Thats too bad if they are not planning to have any, this gives fans and drivers a chance to mingle, let the fans get a little up close and chat makes for a much loyaler fan in my books, hope they will do them.....

All in all not a bad schedule I'd say. I'm impressed!! And I dont impress easily!!LOL Glad to see that big money Thunder special at the end of the year that should be a great event!! I take it by the heats on Sun they mean that will be more of a last chance qualifier for those guys that drive Thunder that might be still racing at their home track on the Sat night. I did notice the # of LLM features are cut back to just 20 from 22 last year as the LLM's will no longer be running in conjunction with the NCTS shows!! This to me is a bit of a mistake as thats when we get the large crowds, and I would of thought ownership would of wanted to showcase Barrie's top division on these days so thats kinda odd to me. Great to see the TQ's returning and they have an added date from last year as well and will be running twin 25's on the one event. They are my fav travelling series to watch next to OSCAAR, so thats an added bonus!! I hope the WED shows will fly as far as getting a decent car count and fan support as they didnt really seem to generate much of that the past two seasons they ran mid week races at Sunset! I'm moderately disappointed theres no LLM invitational but hey rome wasn't built in a day!!!LOL All in all I'd have to give the schedule an 8/10 if I were grading but a better looking sched than last year I'd have to say!!! Good work by the new owners to at least listen to what the area fans would like to see. I'd even bet they got some of the scheduling ideas from right here at CRO so for everyone who voiced an opinion on what you wanted to see in 08 I personally thank you!!

I am not as thirlled Davey, I thought that each division deserved a night off throughout the season...and we get hosed again....i like racing, but damn i wanna night or two off.

Ya I agree with you there Thayne!!!! Never really noticed but the THUNDERS and PURE STOCKS have a very busy sched none the less. I'm suprised those divisions werent given at least one night off, but that doesnt mean you cant take one anyways!! Might take you out of the points race but if you waited till towards the end of the year you might be in a position where your points postion becomes locked and then its not so much of a burn taking a night off!! 20 regular point night features for the Pure Stocks plus the 3 invitationals if you choose to do all 3!!! That is alot of racing!! I hope the drivers in Thunder and Pure Stocks have good sponsors to help them out to make all races!!!LOL I do think they should outlaw the Sunset 16v cars from your invitational though as that would hardly seem fair for our guys, and as the old saying goes paybacks are a B***H!!!!LOL

How are they going go decide which out of town car count as pure stocks and which count as chargers for invitationals? The thunder invitational at the year end what tracks are and are not allowed, are Delaware cars legal? And doesn't that date compete against the ncats year ender at kawartha?

LOL...the sunset cars are all welcome...im not gonna keep them out...they let us there n we run good against them there....the points thing at the end of the year is all fine n dandy but July/August would be perfect... then we can go to the cottage...you really cant have a life n race i guesse...lol

EDIT: Doherty I would imagine they hope that the drivers are decent enough to put themselves int he right position and the last date sure is copetition n i would rather go see the TC's tripple 50's than an NCATS race..jmo

I think that ALL Thunders will be allowed to run, as we all know Barrie Thunders are among the fastest in the province and I dont think any other tracks rules would have a decided advantage over our own Thunders. I'm just wondering if they will allow the Four Fun cars to run as a Charger?? I sure hope we dont get many of those unsafe junkers showing up!!!LOL

I hope they dont..those things are a death waiting to happen..to run them wiht our chargers would be rediculous..its like a tanks hitting the first little piggy's house made of sticks...just like the wolf did...our car wouldblow it right over...
