Wow these new owners at barrie RRRRRock 10000 thunder race there will probably be 200 cars there, imagine the prestige of winning that. Plus the fans get three 50 lap segments think of the carnage, end of season most engines are tired"poised to blow up " this will be awsome to watch. I hope barrie cars run well, I heard the 00 team is building a new engine for this event with a 600 lift cam 430duration ha ha ha. The new owners at Barrie Speedway really care about the racers, bigger purses, cheaper tires, a new tech shed, and the nicest race track in Ontario. I think when this big invitational goes down half the drivers in ontario will see what they are missing by not racing at Barrie. The single greatest thing that has happened at our track is No More Brad Moran racers will finally be treated equally and finish where thy should.

I wonder if they will post the payouts for all the finishing positions at that last race for the Thundercars? There can only be one winner remember. I wonder what second, third, forth and so on pay back to 24th....or however many cars they will start in the feature. If I were a Thundercar driver I certainly would want to see that before loading up.

I would go anyways, just to say I competed in that event, now matter what the lower payouts were. But I am local, and don't have several hundred kms to drive to get here. Are we even sure this is a $10,000 to win event? It could be $5000 to win, $2000 for second and so on. Still a pretty awesome payout for a TC event. And I would think 50 - 75 cars showing up would be a good number. Any more than 24 cars on at once or so and it becomes a big wrecking yard  ;D

Well regardless of the logistics of the payouts that will be one smoking event and a great send off to cap the year of racing. I won't be in it but I sure will be there to watch. Congrats to the new owners for stepping up to the plate in a big way and placing that faith in thier drivers. I would love to see this as the biggest Thunder car event of all time.

The Wednesday night races, are they $1000 to win or is that the purse cause if it is the purse its less than it is regularly for the pure stocks but more for the chargers.

Regarding the end of season triple 50 s for the thunders.Does anyone know the format of these races as from what i can see there is actually 3 50 lap feature races with a combined 10000 overall. In which case the amount being paid out will be less than a regular night -per feature race.

If they got 65 cars it would be the same. Any less than 65 and you would get more $$$ than a regular 50 lapper at Barrie. Remember Barrie has some pretty good payouts for this province. This is if they run 3 seperate features of 26 cars or so each.

41 cars showed up for the Frosty Special, and I would think there would be the same or more.

We'll have to see what happens but I think it's going to be a spectacular event regardless.

Either way its a step in the right direction. I think it will be like the frosty. Lots of cars, tons of fun. Even if first is $1000, which its likly higher, for a Thundercar feature its still good , whats coulours pay $500?.
