On December 2nd the Ontario Sportsman Series will be holding its first meeting for the 2008 OSS Season.
At this time we are inviting Teams and Drivers that are thinking about joining the OSS in 2008 and would
request your presence at the Dec. 2nd meeting.
This meeting is for RACERS ONLY.

To date the OSS has 30 Teams registered for the meeting and we are still looking for additional Members.
If you are a Driver thinking of looking for a ride in the OSS, this would be a good opportunity for you to
meet and greet the members of the Ontario Sportsman Series as well.

The OSS has a goal of 40 Teams for 2008 and we hope your Racing Team is a part of it !!

IF YOU CAN MAKE THE MEETING - PLEASE FORWARD YOU REPLY TO www.ossracing@hotmail.com

Sorry Dave, found it:
2008 DRIVERS MEETING SCHEDULED

On Dec.2nd, 2007, the OSS will hold it's first General Meeting of the year to discuss current issues, and also our
2008 Season. The meeting will be held at Emma's Back Porch, a new sponsor to the OSS, and will be started at 10:AM Sharp. We must be finished no later then 3:PM so please be on time for the start.
The earlier we start, the earlier we finish!!

We are asking that you come as Driver / Owner, or Driver / Crew Chief as the space is limited to space of 80 people. As well, we are asking all Teams to bring your Carburetors with you that you plan on running next season, which will be inspected and sealed for 2008. Please make sure they are in a case or packed well in a box with your Team Name & Car Number on the Box, as well, please mark your car number on the carb with a Sharpie on the end of the Fuel Bowl. The Carb's will be returned as soon as possible once inspected and sealed, aprox. 2 months.
Teams that do not supply their Carb at this time will be asked to have them shipped to Ottawa for inspection prior to the season start at their own expense. Carb's showing up race day that have not been inspected will be
inspected before the car goes on the track, which could delay your track time, as this is something we will have
to try and fit in.

Directions:
* From Toronto: Take the 403 West towards Hamilton. Stay on the 403 and you will go up the side of the Mountain...keep going for aprox. 3 miles and you will start to see the Ancaster Exits. Get off at the Wilson Street exit, at the stop light at the top of the exit you will turn left onto Wilson Street (West #2). You will go through 1 set of lights ( Canadian Tire and Walmart on your left) keep heading West for another 1/4 of a mile and you will see a Sunoco on your left along with a Tim Hortins. Emma's is in the same location and you will see them as soon as you turn left into the parking lot.

* From London: Take the 401 to Woodstock, get off on the 403 East marked Hamilton/Brantford. Stay on the 403 and go through Brantford. Continue traveling East for aprox. 10 miles.
You will get off at the Copetown Exit, Hwy 52.
At the top of the ramp turn Right (South) and go 1/4 of a mile to the traffic lights, turn Left onto Wilson
Street (HWY#2). You will go through 2 sets of lights.
As soon as you go through the second light you will see the Sunoco, Tim Hortins and Emma's on the right.
* From Guelph: Take Hwy 6 South to Hamilton, jump on the 403 West and follow the directions as if you were coming from Toronto.

Just a note of caution.... Do not ask for directions or follow Ron or Ted Lethbridge, unless you want to take the scenic tour !!!

Please keep these directions as all of our meetings will be taking place at Emma's Back Porch.
A light lunch will be served compliments of Emma's back Porch, the Official Roadhouse of the OSS
The Owners name is Steve Smith, please feel free to introduce yourselves and say thanks for the Sponsorship !!

PLEASE RSVP TO  www.ossracing@hotmail.com and include your car number, and the names of the two members
that will be representing your Team. If you have any questions please feel free to use the email address for answers.
I will try to get some name tags as John Alguire has a tuff time with remembering names...  right Shirley !!
( Cindy Lethbridge)

On behalf of the Board of Directors, we all look forward to seeing you there.

For Scott Watkins, get in touch with Racewoman, she was his crew chief at the Toronto Molson Indy and a good friend.

For Nik Lapcevich, She might know that too, he is from the Hamilton area (Caister Centre)

Come on Dave, try to be a bit more professional.
It doesn’t say much if your the spokesman for the OSS. Or at the least the loudest.

Racechaser.. Thanks- I keep doing that www stuff !! Sorry I will change it.

Been there done that- If your memory is better then mine- please give me the real names as I could not find them anywhere. I changed to post but really..that was his nickname around the track and the only one I ever heard.
I met him a half a dozen times and called him by that name which didnt seem to bother him !!
If I offended anyone, especially Joe- Sorry !!
I was told he got the nickname because they were a sponsor for him at one time.
If thats incorrect I feel like a jerk for ever calling him that. Once again-  Sorry.
