They don't even correspond to the NCATS dates, either...

hopefully they are nothing like the CASCAR sportsman that came 2 years ago...13 cars and a whole lot of boardom. I too would imagine the new owners want as many specials as posisble this year to get hype. Also the new owner i think Jim Payetta is his name is putting a large emphasis on marketing and advertising this year...could be the reason for the increase in specials..hopefully we get an invitational this year!

quite a different race format than what cascar ran

traditional qualifying with an inversion after qualifying

50 lap sprint race........full field inversion based on results

2nd 50 lap sprint race...........

should be a barn burner

Barrie's a tough track to pace on the outside so should be pretty entertaining with the inversion........

heard there's around 20ish guys running for the championship plus a bunch that running partial..........

also heard Mike Alguire #32 is running the full season.......after a year off........also heard Cole Weber is back #11

You know what..this is very cool for several reasons.
A- They said they would be the first to have the schedule out...and they did as promised.
B- They have honored race fans with a great racing format by inverting the field.
C- They are not running on the coat tails of the Nascar Series, instead running on their own program.
D- Even though it's only 8 races, it still means 16 EXCITING RACES full of racing action which fans will love.

Hats off to the Ontario Sportsman Series !!

For someone who's "boyfriend" just bought a car, you seem to have taken up the mantle of OSS cheerleader quite nicely. Congratulations.

Thank you. I support what ever racing series my Boyfriend does, and he is very high in the Sportsman Series.
Maybe they will give me a Cheer Leader uniform....
Now it's back to work...
See ya's, Judge Judy

There will  definitely be some demolition Derbies at the small tracks but it looks like a fun schedule. I think to OSS will take some time to build up a good series (It's good now) with a good fan base and regular drivers but the are on the right track.

Maybe Mobile 1 should do a Silly Driver forum for the OSS to see who is really going to be there.

I'm not going to touch it with a 40-foot stick, sir.
