Anyone can post track results and press releases on here. Moderators on here are just hear to try and make sure the board runs smoothly.

That is something I lack is to create a media/advertising guide. If anyone is willing to help that would be great. Drivers and teams are always welcome to post blogs and team releases on here and thanking there sponsors is OK as long as they are not ads.

The biggest problem I have is I'm the only one here running the site. This site has the potential to grow but with one person it doesn't help and it takes a long time to get were the site needs to be.

One thing I personally think CRO would benefit from would be more local "reporting", by that I mean have locals who can provide results/news from their local track create posts.  Many simular websites I check out on a regular basis use moderators to provide results and news.

If you were to create a media/advertising guide, send one to me I'm self employed and think the number of viewers would benefit my business.  I  would also suggest informing car owners and drivers of the great benefits of advertising and utilizing this website correctly.  Maybe ask some drivers/owners to write blogs about their thoughts, and opinions on how to make the sport better.

I actually just registered for this forum, after being a guest for approx. 5 years
I have always found the forum to be informative, and entertaining as I have been a grass roots stock car racing fan all my life.

I like the way some tracks and series receive excellent press coverage, good or bad.  I also enjoy how their are discussions on here about making the sport better, not just for racers/promotors but for the fans.

If more drivers or car owners would understand that what CRO can provide their sponsors is as many eyes as possible.  Think of it like, when Dale Jr. sayes the usual driver speach of thanking Mountain Dew/Amp/National Guard ETC. it is because their are millions of viewers and a few are going to get up and grab a DEW because of it. If DEW sells more then thats what counts to sponsors, if drivers have news they should be posting it here not just for talking but for their sponsors.  You never know but another forum viewer my need the services of your sponsors.  I know I support companies who support local motorsport because I enjoy it, bought a set of tires from a company that sponsors a local racer las tweekend, and they were not the cheapest, but I felt they should get my support.

By posting the results from tracks in ontario, it would also provide a spot for the winning drivers to come on and thank their sponsors, provide a little right up about the night which would help everyone out.

STAY CANADIAN UNLESS TALKING ABOUT A CANADIAN WHO IS RUNNING IN THE US.
I FIND THIS SITE SLIGHTLY HARD TO FIGURE OUT, SO MANY AVENUES TO CHASE AND HARD TO TELL IF SOMEONE IS POSTING WHEN I'M ON OR POSTING. I'M NEW THOUGH SO MAY GET EASIER AS I GO.

And no, I don't think CRO should focus only on Canadian Motorsports.

I like the idea of open topics on racing. When this site was cascaronline, all discussions didn't have to be about Cascar.  With CRO being based in the Toronto area, most of the posts are going to be from Ontario. I think CRO is still regional. If CRO is going to continue to grow and expand, I think it has to stay diverse. I enjoy this site. Keep up the good work Evan (and company).
As far as race track participation. Race tracks are notorious for not working with each other, so I don't see them wanting to have a cooperative effort with competing message boards.
Just my two cents.

Thanks for the offers. I have to make up a marketing kit and I don't have any shirts with the new logo on it yet. I need to get some cash flowing my way. I was hoping to have a banner advertiser which would have helped pay for shirts.

I'm waiting for a reply on a partner deal and maybe I will be able to get some things.

Thanks Everyone

Evan if you have any shirts with the new logo I'll buy one and wear it when I go to CPT.

I'm planning to have a booth again at the 2010 Motorsports Expo Evan.  If you have some CRO Marketing Kits put together, send them my way. I'll make space for them in my booth or in my store.

I have offered help in the past, I own and run a marketing company. Involved heavily in Atlantic Canada Motorsports. I would be willing to help & partner but the last time the offer was rejected.

I have contacted tons of tracks this year and I don't think they know how much this can help there tracks and gain some intrest in them. Never go many replies from the tracks I contacted. A lot of tracks like to keep the message boards on there site which I for one feel is a big mistake as you are not getting much exposure only from the people that attend your tracks.

As for the CPT show what would I need as I have no t-shirts or Decals or Baseball caps left and can't afford to buy a new batch as I really had a slow year with banner advertising on the site this year.

I really need to make up some type of marketing kit I could send out to sponsors. I have no idea what I would put in this as I never had to make one up before.

Maybe user feedback can help out in this.

Why do you come to CRO and do you support the banner advertisers by clicking banners here and why do you click the banners?

Maybe a new way to get sponsors involved in CRO? Why should a company become a banner advertiser on CRO.

I really need a partner to come on board and we could maybe grow CRO to where it should be not to many people can say they have a 10 year old message board.

And what do you know...I think the CPT is in my hometown.

Pretty hard to justify the booth space though...that stuff isn't cheap. But it sure wouldn't be bad to have a bag full of materials to walk around and press the flesh with. Maybe drum up some ad revenue.
