« on: March 13, 2009, 06:20:08 PM »
Just got back from Performance World Flammy had there schedule I was really happy to see racing on Canada Day!!

50 Lap Thunder Car
Twin-25-Lap Mini Stock
F4
Hurricane
King Of The Hill

Racing Starts @ 2pm

I'v always wanted to see racing on Canada Day...and with  Canada Day being a Wendsay this year....I hope it gets a lot of fans out, not like everyones going to be away beacuse it's a long weekend...it's middle of the week not much eles to do.....so hopefully it goes over well.

Canada Day just needs racing...no matter what day it is...so I think this is a great idea!!!

what has always played havoc with scheduling races for Canada day is that a lot of employers (for those who still have jobs) will likely force employees to take the holiday on the preceeding Monday or following Friday. A number of employees also vote to have a long weekend during the summer rather than a one day holiday in the middle of the week. For industries with heavy machinery, it doesn't make sense to fire up twice within a week. I guess the only way around it is for the government to legislate that everyone has to take it on the 1st, but that will likely never happen as big business runs government. In the U.S., it would be sacreligious if anyone opened on the 4th of JULY. jmo
