Luke Gignac Scores Second Straight Top-Five Finish
HAMILTON, Ontario — For the second straight weekend of OSCAAR Modified competition, Luke Gignac would post a top-five finish.

Gignac was quick right from the start of the night, finishing fourth and second in his pair of qualifying heats.

Starting up front in the feature, he ran fifth in the early stages until the first caution at Lap 8. The restart would see him battle three-wide mid-pack for position, gaining a spot to move up to fourth. Through the middle portion of the event, Gignac continued to battle hard, losing a spot to Cory Horner before the halfway mark. However, in the second half of the event, he was able to make his way by A.J. Emms, crossing the finish line with a fifth-place finish.

The next race for the OSCAAR Modifieds is at Peterborough Speedway on August 4.
