V8 Stocks are still relatively new to Delly. There's still some steel bodied guys running SS, andkind of make sme wonder why they would. I see the draw, but even playing field I think in the other class, would be more inviting. I'm sure once it catches on, there will be guys pulling cars out from the fields. I can think of 7-8 cars, just sitting now, and that's just off the top of memory.

First two Fridays have had good crowds too. The bands pre-race have been pretty good also although not many there that early to see them when they start. SS has been awesome. Great seeing the 22 car field and no one is running away from the field yet so great racing even after long greens. The LMs still have an issue with passing. Don't know how you fix that with the speeds they are going. V8s put on a good show also and I also wonder why there aren't more.

I like the heat race format as it is now. It gets more cars on the track and is definitely a better show. As long as the guys are remembering that its a heat and that they behave themselves, (which they've been doing) its excellent.  Although later in the season when all the points chasers start grubbing for points, that might change.

Its pretty plain to see that the Late Model landscape is changing. That's a whole other thread I guess....but I'm willing to hope that the track is gonna work harder on trying to figure out why, with so many old enduro cars floating around out there, they only seem to be able to muster a dozen or so for V8 stocks on a friday night.

We doubled the trucks since last year and that's a pretty good sign. If they play their cards right I think the division COULD be returned to glory.

I'd like to see more Chaos cars on the Friday sched. It would seem to me that if they wanted a way to get the kids jazzed up, that would be the way to do it. Not saying go back to barrel racing, but keep it as it is now and go back to having cars w crazy ass names and such. (I'm sorry but the term Bone Stock is just poor marketing...right up there with "Enduro") It would seem to me that the elusive "kid element" is staring them right in the face on this one. They've got Dipstick out this year, , so you know its on their minds....and there's other answers too...and they're looking right at some of them.

And lastly the Super Stocks. For some reason they are still playing second banana to the Late Model division....but that just Delly stuck in old Delly thinking. SS is the heart of the place this year (actually has been for a long time) and the car counts are awesome. Makes me back to when CASCAR LM boomed in the late 80s. Only difference this time around is that they have not been given top billing. But its a breakout year for them and the racing thus far has been fantastic.

Now I heard the 1st LM APC challenge at Flamboro was a pretty decent show. Well see if the Flammy guys reciprocate. We might have something here....and LM might be headed to special event status. But I'm guessing the APC SS challenge series is gonna be eye-popping. You watch. :)

And this Friday night is the first leg of that, plus Trucks, plus Chaos Cars, and I think you have a very entertaining night of racing coming up this Friday. Maybe one of the high points of the 2014 schedule.

The random draw, and full field heat races rocked. Great format.

V8 Stocks had 12 or 13 cars. SS was a full field of 21 or 22 cars (a few less after part way through the feature) and the LM had 13 cars I believe. It was a great opening night for weather and racing. Everyone was well behaved being the first night. Good crowd turnout too. I think I like the new heat race format. Here is a short video. Won't win any Oscars that's for sure LOL.

How many cars are we expecting across the divisions. I keep seeing more and more Super stocks at practice and on Facebook. Looking like that division might have close to 20 cars.
Late models? Rumors of Beauchamp Jr. Running Delaware full time. Along with Mark Watson returning?

Trucks? V8s?
