That was nice of Steve to let a visiting car lead the first half, what a sport he is!

Mr. Hanley needs to reign in his emotions a tad! I heard he was seeing red when he was put to the back. This might have been why he pinched Ken Baird up the turn 1 wall. When you drive mad, you get tunnel vision. An aggressive driver is fun to watch, a p****d off driver is dangerous. Thank God for the rule book, safety equipment and a proper roll cage.

My impression was that Hanley knocked the #63 out in the heat races...You'd think after doing something like that, you wouldn't do anything that you could get remotely nailed on, but that's just me....

Hanley's crossed the line from agressive to dirty many times at Kawartha this season in my opinion, as well as instigating a fight, so hearing about his antics at Ottawa doesn't come as much of a surprise. The difference is at Kawartha the officials let it go and it seems at Ottawa they didn't. Jumping the starts is also nothing new, that's how it's always done at Kawartha, and that's how the officials seem to like it. Maybe they should talk to the Capital City officials about how you're supposed to handle these things.

people see what they want to see !! i have seen posts on other boards that said Hanley pushed everyone out of the way when i was there that night and he passed them all on the outside!  point being people apparently dont like winners in this sport!  funny thing is though they love it when Earnhardt  used to crash people and it was ok but someone does it on the short tracks and its bad , why is Stewart so popular ? it isnt his personality  lol !

hey guys you better check the "highlights " Munro wasnt the only one to have the lead in the last 50!
Jeff hanley was not put to the back for jumping  a lapped car !Jeff hanley jumped the start every time !I was unfortunate enough to have to start outside him on one of the early cautions,he started the race in turn 3 and would not give any room  to start  outside him ,After what he did to the #63 i'm surprised the officials had as much patience as they did with him. What really bothered me as a racer was that after clearly squeezing the #63 to wall ,he didn't even have the decency(B***S!!) to walk over and see if ken was o.k. and lets not forget about him driving down the front starightaway flipping off all the fans!!!oh and there were also rumours that he was involved in the melle between mr. Beyore and the track officials. And im not going to even get into yhe antics of the 54 car that is a whole different can of worms!Other than that it was a great race ,and im glad to see we are finally talking about racing again at CCS!!

cheers[/quote]
