By Ashley McCubbin/Wilson Motorsports – Saturday night would be a night to remember for Brian Wilson Jr. as he would come home with a seventh place finish for his first feature top 10.

The Brampton, Ontario native would finish eighth in both of his heats.

In the feature, Wilson would start the No. 00 Assured Car and Truck Rental, Smurf's Towing, Canadian Home Renovations, Tufff Transportation, Gunk, Pete's Automotive, Stag Automotive, Terrier Excavating and Landscaping, and Scrap Car Towing Cutlas in the second position.

Wilson would run side-by-side with Richard Butler for the lead, till Butler cleared him on lap three.

On lap four, Paul Maltese would clear Wilson Jr. for second while Zardo looked for a way by for third. Zardo would move up to third on lap five, followed by Bentley while Wilson Jr. ran side-by-side with Rusnell for fifth. Rusnell would complete the pass for fifth on the next lap.

On lap 10, the first caution would come out when race leader Butler would get sideways off of the corner and contact would be made with Walters, collecting Chenoweth. at this point, Wilson Jr. was in the eighth position.

Wilson would continue to run eighth all the way till the second caution on lap 24 when Lapcevich would go for a spin. This would allow Wilson Jr. to move up to the seventh position in line.

Wilson Jr. would hold his own the rest of the feature, coming home seventh for his best career finish.

As a result, Wilson Jr. moved up to 14th in points, 40 points out of 13th.

Grzyb has made it clear that his goal is to win the championship this year as he continues to improve his racing game.
