Benjamin Silliker Gets Second Place Finish in Outlaw Kart Event in Edmonton; Big Weekend Coming up at Little Wheels Speedway in Washington

Grand Prairie, Alberta – Benjamin Silliker and his Team Silco Racing team were back in action this past week with their Outlaw Kart on Saturday in conjunction with the World of Outlaw race later that night in Edmonton. It was a good day at the track for the seven year old, picking up a solid finish, and advancing to run with the older kids in their main event.
Benjamin picked up a win in his first qualifying heat. He started from the pole position and was able to catch the field and lap them within five laps. The remaining races were a bit more of a challenge, finishing second in his second heat race, and second again in the Main event. He was able to transfer to run with the older kids, and finished with another solid top five finish.
This coming weekend, Team Silco will be the Labor Day Weekend event at Little Wheels Speedway in Graham, Washington. The will be back on the pavement for the first time in a couple weeks with their Quarter Midget after running their Dirt Kart.
Benjamin will run the Quarter Midget a couple more times this year before hitting the indoor karts in November in Chiliwak, BC in November, and the Red Bluff California Winter Series from October to March. Jason Silliker also plans to race his IMCA Modified with events tentatively scheduled at Roseville Speedway in California in September and October, and at Las Vegas in November.
